I just finished this book. I must say, I did not see the big twist coming. Still not sure how I feel about it.
Didn’t love the book early on but it grew on me as I read. Happy I decided not to put it down. Personally I wasn’t surprised by the outcome, but enjoyed reading how everything unfolded. Still probably not a title I would revisit.
Has anyone read the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan? I was interested in picking this one, up but I've seen some reviews and comments saying it was too similar (even down to the same character names) and now I'm on the fence about it
I have not read the Sweep series, but upon a quick Amazon search, I did see that Sweep is much older (2001). Now I am curious . . .
I finished reading These Witches Don't burn a few days ago and I am not wild about it. I found 90% of the storyline very predictable and the constant need to elaborate or explain didn't make for an exciting read. I also did not enjoy how the pre story was approached as it felt as if I had missed and entire book prior to this one. I seriously considered starting a DNF pile just for this book. It definitely has some good points though such as Veronica and Cal. For some reason I just liked their characters and was rooting for them throughout.
I couldn’t finish this book. I think I was just expecting more magic?? LOVED the lgbtqa+ rep though! But honestly this book didn’t hold my attention; it was definitely just not for me.
