I'll nominate The Hidden City by Michelle West -- it's been sitting unread on my Kindle for a while, but looks fun.

I'll nominate A Natural History of Dragons because dragons. The series is finished, so no endless waiting for the next installment. Also, dragons. DRAGONS!
I'll propose something of a slightly different kind... fantasy/sf adventure of the early times of the genre in the form of The Lost Continent: The Story of Atlantis by Hyne... By early in the genre I mean approx. 1900 publication date... It's probably seen as more of an adventure mixed with social analysis wrapped in an atlantean setting, but at that time that was the recipe, not dungeons and dragons ;)

Wow, we might have a lot of nominations this month. I really wish I would have nominated something spooky, being October and all. I just didn't think that through.
I wish I’d charged my laptop so I could get a book linked yesterday. Because I’ve forgotten what book it was now!

LOL, for creepier side one can always think of Imajica or Weaveworld or better yet Books of Blood: Volume One or Cabal ;) I'd nominate either if not for my attempt to promote The Lost Continent now ;)
