For Sierra Leone, I nominate Blood Diamonds: Tracing the Deadly Path of the World's Most Precious Stones by Greg Campbell
For Women in Translation, I nominate A Stranger's Supper: An Oral History of Centenarian Women in Montenegro by Zorka Milich. Although written in English, the 30 interviews of very old women were most likely in Montegrin or Serbian which the author spoke.
For World Memoirs, I nominate Living Poor by Moritz Thomsen.

For Women in translation, I was going to nominate The Museum of Unconditional Surrender by Dubravka Ugrešić of Croatia/ Yugoslavia, but as I see we have another of her novels nominated by Laurie, ("Fox") I'll second that. I would also like to read Laurie's other nominee, The Memory of Love.
For South American memoir, I'll nominate The Motorcycle Diaries: Notes on a Latin American Journey by Ernesto "Che" Guevara.

Nominate a translated book from a female European author written in a Southern European language. Examples of some of the more common Southern European languages include Albanian, Aranese, Aromanian, Asturian, Basque, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Cypriot Arabic, Cypriot Turkish, Galician, Greek, Italian, Latin, Macedonian, Maltese, Montenegrin, Occitan, Portuguese (European only), Romani, Romanian, Serbian, Slovene, Spanish (European/Castilian only), and Turkish.
World Memoirs
Nominate a memoir or autobiography from one of the following countries in continental South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The book must be a non-fiction memoir and set in one of these countries/regions.
