"I don't know why you always have to do that!" Harley yelled at her brother, slamming the door of his black sportscar.
"Those guys were being total perverts Har, couldn't you see that?" Damian yelled back.
"They were being friendly, Dame! Do you know what that is?" She ran inside their huge house and slammed her bedroom door.
Damian sighed.

Cassie, Harleys best friend texted her. 'wat up?'

((she'll explain in the text))
'i was at the mall with damian and these guys were talking to me and damian went off on them. he's too protective, its annoying'

'hah! wanna hang around with out him?'
she texted smiling

'u dont no how much i do, could u pick me up, dame has the keys 2 my car...'

"Um... hey its harley right?" Matt asked walking up to Harley.

Harley was outside waiting for Cassie to pick her up and she saw the guy.

"Yeah." she smiled. "Who are you?"

"Oh um.. I'm matt" Matt said looking away "Are you going to the party tonight?"

"Yeah, but I'm gonna have to sneak out. Why?" She asked.

Bree rubbed her temples. She couldnt consentrate on anyting right now. Sighing she shoved away from the small table in the apartment and went out side. Her mother and little sister were at a school meeting.

"Want a ride?" Matt offered gesturing to a mustang not 2 spaces away...

Harley smiled. "I'd love one! Just a second, I have to cancel some plans." She took out her phone and texted Cassie 'got a ride 4 the party, we'll hang out 2morrow?'
She looked back at him. "Thanks."

"No problem" Matt said walking beside Harley, "So... i havnt seen you around school alot."

"Really? That's odd. I don't think I've seen you around much, either." Harley said honestly. "I love your car by the way." She smiled appreciatively, she had a thing for guys with nice cars.

"Oh really? you must know your cars then," He smiled "And for the reccord i play basketball most of the time so if you want to find me, look in the gym."

She smiled. "I'll remember that. I'm usually in the quad, hanging out with my friends. And yes, I do know a lot about cars. My brother taught me."

"Oh great." Matt said as he opened the passenger door for Harley. "You need anything at ur house?"

"No, I'm fine." She said, imagining telling her brother that she was going out to a party with a guy. "So, you any good at basketball?" She said, ina joking way.

Matt just looked at her like she was crazy "Matt matherson? ring a bell? um... harley im kind of the captain..."

Harley laughed. "I was kidding Matt, I know who you are."

Matt chuckled with her, "Ha ha very funny Harley," Matt said "You scared for me for a moment," He joked

She laughed again. "I'll have to come watch you play."

"Ok sure, you know when the games are?" Matt questioned her

"Yeah. Friday's right?"

"yuppers," Matt smiled and drove right in to a crowded driveway, "Looks like were kind of late"

"Nope." She said, smiling at him. "The party doesn't start until we arrive."

"Sure does," Matt beamed, moving around the car to open Harley's door "Let the party begin"

Harley grabbed his hand on the way to the house.

((wait did we just pass the party part? now hes dropping her off right?))

"Hey Jase! wut up?" Matt said high fiving one of his best friends,"Oh by the way this is harley," Matt said tring to include her.

Harley smiled. "Oh, I know you. We have the same math class." She said to Jase.

"Oh yea... I remember," Jase said then turning back to matt " You should see the backyard its crazy"

"Ok" Then he turned to Harley " You want to see it?"

Harley tapped Matt's shoulder. "I'm gonna go get something to drink. Come find me later." She started walking away.

After the crazy backyard experience, matt made his way threw the party looking desperatly for Harley. When he spotted her sitting on the couch alone he nudged her on the shoulder and said "hey,"

"Hey." She smiled. "None of my friends are here, we're not really the sporty type." She admitted.

"Oh sorry" Matt imedietly reacted by placing his hand on her knee, "We can go somewhere else if u want"

"No this is fine." Harley said, looking at Matt's hand on her bare knee. She smiled at him, letting him know it was okay.

Matt smiled back "So..."

"Is the backyard as crazy as everyone says it is?" Harley said and then gasped when she saw her brother walk into the party. He didn't see her yet. "Hide me." She told Matt.

"What?" But matt didn't wait for an answer he pulled her up behind him, which wasn't really hard considering the size difference

"We have to leave now." She told him, from behind his back. She never realized he was so tall.

"Ok" Matt said dragging her out to the front door, "What's wrong?" He whispered anxoiusly

Harley didn't say anything until they got to the car. "My brother. He's really protective of me and he didn't know I was there." She told him. "He would've been really upset."

"Oh you didn't tell him?" Matt said looking at the ground "Well where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere. You decide." She said, not wanting their time together to be over.

"I want YOU to choose," Matt said placing a sweatchirt over Harley's shoulders assuming she was cold

Harley snuggled into Matt's sweatshirt. It smelled like him. "How about to dinner. I haven't eaten anything. I'll pay." She said, not wanting to place the burden on him.
