Son of No One
question
Good or not?
confusing - i felt like i need a genealogy list, a pantheon list; and a list of the multiple names for the same character...but that goodness Simi was there and had BBQ sauce

I have read it. I have very lukewarm feelings about it. I don't like that she's trying to integrate all these other pantheons. I can't keep everyone straight. She's gotten too convoluted and hard to follow, and this is another one of those (kind of like the Sundown one...Time Untime? I forget.)
Sorry but I did not like it. It was not catchy. Did not like the couple, everything was solved really quickly, let me just say that the only thing I enjoyed was the preview of the next League book.
This series is just taking way to long I want to know the ending of it before I leave this world and at the rate that it is going I don't think this will happen.

While i love this author and all the other book she has written This one i felt did not live up to what I have come to expect from her It even convinced me to write my first review
Loved the book, the end is hurried and a little confusing but the actual story itself is very good.
Well, it's not that all bad. But as compared to Styxx, I do find it disappointing.
It's true that pantheons keep adding up but I do not mind, it adds to our general paranormal knowledge.
Lacks some mystery and some fierce chemistry building between the character but overall it is not bad.

While I don't think it was her strongest book... it did move a number of characters forward in our knowledge of who they are/were. But as another poster stated, Styxx was such a strong and powerful book that any book following would be seen as so so, like Bad Moon Rising was after Archron. But this one like Bad Moon Rising does drop several nuggets of information about some of her key players on the larger story canvas.
Keep in mind with epic fight over Nick v. his Malachi side coming in about the next 6-8 years that is only another 6-8 books. She will probably have more stories like this one that introduce or set up characters to be key players in the battle over Nick/the Malachi.

"Son of No One" to me helped me with a lot of the story lines. Yes at times it was confusing, but by the end of the book I was glad for the characters and the information on them. Compared to "Styxx" the story line was more confusing but this book showed me how each character grew into the ones we have been reading about. To those that did not like it I would go back and reread it.
Yeah, I had trouble keeping up with all the other characters. I'm not up with her "Lords of Avalon" series and it looks like she is putting them in the "Dark-Hunter" series and I'm not sure I like that!? I was confused almost the whole book! :-(
It was good, but not as good as the earlier ones. it is becoming a little confusing to follow at this point. Especially seeing as I started reading this series 15 years ago. That's a long time to follow. And I am not going to re-read them all again to refresh.
I enjoyed the book, loved Simi as aways, but Sherrilyn Kenyon has written longer and better books, Acheron and Styxx being my absolute favorites.

They are quite violent in the begining of both books, still brilliant writing though, and I can understand why you can't read that, it was rather upse

I have read part 1 in each book but anytime I go to reread the books I only reread the part 2s!
