So has anyone else finished the book already? What'd everyone think? I finished it a couple weeks ago but figured I'd give people some more time to finish. The audiobook was real short like 8.5 hours.
I really liked the interview format of the book, it really translated to audio well. The story was interesting though I'd still like to know who exactly Interviewer was lol. Speaking of which, was it me or did it feel like none of the characters were "good people"?

You know I raced through this book! I agree, all the characters were morally gray, which delighted me. The book hints at being a sci-fi cautionary tale, but we don't really know yet the full consequences of Themis may be... I'm really on board to see what twists and turns the later books hold! (I'm still in the early days of Book 2, had to put it aside for some other reads)
Yeah it definitely felt like a cautionary tale but it also felt like a more realistic reaction to what would happen if humans made that kind of discovery. Usually, we see some kind of semi-utopian, "unite the world" response when humans discover aliens or other world changing phenomena. Maybe I'm a cynic, but the various government bickering over who gets to militarize it seems more realistic.
