Engineering in Literature discussion

The general public view in the UK is that Watt invented the steam engine, Stevenson the Railway and Brunel everything else. Luckily its far more complex then that, as I have discovered in my research into the life of William West of Tredenham. Woolf, Hornblower, Trevithick, West, Grose, Loam, Sims-all great engineers associated with Cornish steam engine development, and all with amazing stories.

I have been looking for books that tell these stories- I discovered the Sketch of the life of William West of Tredenham ( Which I included in The Last Great Cornish Engineer) and Several books on Trevithick-does anyone know of any more?
