I love that this is something different. I am looking forward to reading:
Where She Went
The Disenchantments
This Lullaby
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
If I can find one of these at the library I will read:
Hotel California: The True-Life Adventures of Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Mitchell, Taylor, Browne, Ronstadt, Geffen, the Eagles, and Their Many Friends
Jim Morrison: Life, Death, Legend

Lynn B - That sounds really interesting.
Bea - OOH, I forgot about that one....it is on my TBR, maybe I should read that one. :)

Lynn, I have not seen the movie, but I did find the book interesting, challenging, and very moving.

Gemma, I might try Eleanor & Park also.
For those looking for a suggestion, I liked Bel Canto.

Another book I would recommend that should be on the list [has genre Music - 8 users], but, at 700+ pages of the list, I am not going to check is Antonietta by John Hersey. I gave this one 4*.

The book I'm currently reading, NOS4R2, is on this shelf which I think is a bit odd as so far it has as much to do with music as my singing does.

Karen wrote: "I think I'll go for Will Grayson, Will Grayson and The People's Songs: The Story of Modern Britain in 50 Records."
Karen, I thought Will Grayson, Will Grayson was wonderful, and it is a fun, quick read.

For Music, I will be reading Love, Janis and How to Kill a Rock Star.

I think I will also read Will Grayson, Will Grayson and maybe Bel Canto.
I guess I never remembered to post a list here. I thought I had one ... somewhere ... Man! Rolling down the river for a week sure has gotten me out of the habit of a lot of organizational things that are usually routine for me.
So ... I'll try to get some of these, probably whichever arrive(s) first from the library:
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
The Sky is Everywhere
If I Stay
An Equal Music
And I suspect someone must have put 1Q84 on this shelf. At least four of us read it during September and October. I don't have the energy to hunt through 70 pages to see if it's there, but if someone happens to spot it, we should probably include it. Even though we started in September, most of us read most of Book 3 in October.

Charity has picked Music for our October read.
Do we have a musician in our midst?
Has anyone read many of the books on this shelf? Which would you recommend?
