The Silkworm question

Hi - not sure if this is the right place - but I use Goodreads to find new books I'm interested in reading - however, even though I love Agatha Christie and Nancy Drew and some other series books - I would love it if when searching for a a type of book (such as "mystery") that you could filter out the series ones - just a stand alone book would be great - does anyone agree??

the reason being is I hate to start a series without reading the first book
