Farway Gaius McCarthy was born outside of time. The son of a time-traveling Recorder from 2354 AD and a gladiator living in Rome in 95 AD, Far's birth defies the laws of nature. Exploring history himself is all he's ever wanted, and after failing his final time-traveling exam, Far takes a position commanding a ship with a crew of his friends as part of a black market operation to steal valuables from the past.

But during a heist on the sinking Titanic, Far meets a mysterious girl who always seems to be one step ahead of him. Armed with knowledge that will bring Far's very existence into question, she will lead Far and his team on a race through time to discover a frightening truth: History is not as steady as it seems.

Saffron the red panda is by far (heh) the best character in here, no one can change my mind.

The ending: (view spoiler)[I liked this one more than I thought I would really because I hate time travel so much. But it was neat. I think I'm still confused by the ending but that's fine. (hide spoiler)]

Hi! I have this annoying habit of forgetting book endings. I've read this a couple months ago and forgot to put a note to self.
Book ending spoiler (view spoiler)[ Female alt mc has to kill mc because his birth outside of time created some sort of space-time instability which gradually swallows all the alternate universes and historical events iirc. How does it get resolved? I don't remember her killing him. Do they find another way? (hide spoiler)] If anyone could help explain me the ending, I'd be very grateful!
