Sarah Bierle (gazette665) | 111 comments Arabella Barlow (wife of Union General Francis C. Barlow)is on my list of CW people to research.

I've read her biography in Women at Gettysburg, 1863and am starting to look for more information.

I was wondering if someone has The Boy General: The Life And Careers Of Francis Channing Barlow or Fear Was Not in Him: The Civil War Letters of General Francis C. Barlow, U.S.A. (The North's Civil War Series): The Civil War Letters of General Francis ... U.S.A.. Could you count the references for "Barlow, Arabella" in the indexes of the books?

I'd really appreciate this. I've tried using Google Books, but it's not always very clear. I'd like to know how many times she's mentioned in the books' texts before I purchase them.

Thanks.

Lia | 96 comments Sarah, I'll ask my friend Frank who is a Civil War historian. He's brilliant.

Sarah Bierle (gazette665) | 111 comments Thanks. Just looking for how many pages "Barlow, Arabella" is on - should be pretty easy to count the page numbers beside her name in the index. (If she's not in the index, it's okay - even that info would be helpful).
