Greenthumbr discussion

I stumbled on this group through Goodreads, then registered on the Greenthumbr website and got a beta id. It seems like a Goodreads for gardeners, sort of--is that an accurate description? I'd love to get a little history on who started it and why...

Greenthumbr is the social network for gardeners. Currently (as of 13-March) it's in private beta, but you can get an invitation by signing up on the home page (as you did, Heather).

It's created by 3 continuously-learning gardeners in Asheville, North Carolina.

We love niche networks like Goodreads, and figured this would be a great way to have some cross-pollination.

Just a quick follow-up. Greenthumbr opened its gates to the public on May 5 this year. Come one come all. :)
