Want to read Labyrinth of the Spirits with me in September? We haven’t had a book read together since last year. Of course anyone else is welcome, this is my author and series of the year. Jason, will also get back to you soon. I’ve been swamped! Plus I have this door stopper of a book to read. Which I am enjoying, but hopefully I get through more of it today.
I am in the library parking lot right now charging up my phone, and making work calls, where the labyrinth of the spirits is waiting for me inside, as is the Rosie result, the third in the Rosie trilogy, that just happens to take place in Australia! So I might be ready to go earlier too!
I loved both The Shadow of the Wind and Angel's Game. I think I loved Angel's Game more because the story had many possible interpretations and challenged me as a reader. I am yet to read this one, but hopefully I'll get there.

Looking through reviews and reading some forums, it seemed that those that loved Angel's game did not like The Prisoner of Heaven as much and those that didn't like Angel's Game like Prisoner of Heaven more.
A lot of people felt that prisoner of having had a more simplistic and straightforward style and therefore liked it more. I think I actually preferred Angels game. I do want to respond to your thoughts about it, and I’m sorry that I have not been able to yet. I’m hoping to get to it tonight.

The Cemetery of Forgotten Books series is 4 books and 1 novella that are stand alone stories but also weave together. They can be read in any order but I am reading them in publication order.
Shadow of the Wind was good, but I hated Angel's Game. The story didn't make sense. The Prisoner of Heaven weaves the first two stories together and actually answered some of the questions I had about Angel's Game. I think Angel's game would have been better if I read it after The Prisoner of Heaven.
I found Zafon's language and descriptions to be simpler than Shadow of the wind. I am looking forward to see how the story continues to unfold and weave all the books together.
