Who is/are your favorite YA author(s)?


My favorite authors are Alex Sanchez and Julie Anne Peters

I love Garth Nix and Scott Westerfeld. I can't think of any female writers, though.

Sharon Draper, Tamora Pierce, Chris Crutcher, Meg Cabot, Jonh Green....so hard to choose!

I love Sarah Dessen, as well as Maureen Johnson. Meg Cabot is always good!

I also just finished Absolute Brightness by James Lecesne and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

I haven't read much YA recently, and what I have read has been from different authors. One of my favourites when I was younger though was Kate Cann.

Robert Louis Stevenson: 'Treasure Island', 'The Black Arrow', 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde', are classics of juvenile lit. We do consider juvenile lit to encompass all of grade school, middle school and high school, right?

Arthur Ransome: The 12 books in the 'Swallows & Amazons' series are dated perhaps, but are still wonderful for some children and adults)
