{History} Amity has lived in the castle her whole life-though she's only been a servant. She's always been very curious about the world around her, ever since she was able to walk and talk. Her father was a cool in the kitchens, so Amity spent a lot of time down there with him. Her mother was a maid for the queen, and she never got to see her much. Her older sister, Selena, is four years older than her, and first became a maid when Amity was 10. After that, Amity didn't have anyone to play with. The two had been best friends, but they didn't see each other nearly as much, since Selena was always working now. Five years later, Amity became a maid when they announced the Selection.
