Shifters (Bear/Wolves): The Beast in Him by Shelly Laurenston 29 Sept 2014 ~ 3 1/2 stars, this wasn't the best shifter book I've read but overall the shifter part was fun.

Small Town: Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins 12 Oct 2014 ~ 3 1/2 stars, although it was cute and a quick fun read there was something annoying about everyone in everyone else's business.

Really enjoyed both books but Then Came You has the edge with great characters and a wonderful small town vibe.

Shifters (bear/wolves): Shiver. I did not like this book at all. I had to force myself to finish reading it. It did represent the theme well, but the plot had me yawning.

This was a fun shifter story with great banter/snark between the MCs. There was some emphasis on the 'mating scent' and how to tell if the other person is their soul/fated mate. Not much in their shifter form however.

I had high hopes for this one, I read some great reviews. But...there were a few mistakes I found hard to overlook. The heroine is described as blond and the cover picture has her as a dark brunette. The word 'stationery' was consistently misspelled as 'stationary' and the heroine's name was alternated as 'Caitlyn' and 'Caitlin'. The story itself was nice, nothing great but a pleasant read. The theme of a small town was very well described though. I did get a good sense of small town life.

I really loved this book. I was totally, completely engrossed in the book that I didn't want to put the book down. It's one of the best books I've read this year.

Small Town: Banishing the Dark by Jenn Bennett
This is the first small-town UF I've read. The fourth installment ties everything neatly with a bow; the ending a little predictable. Still, an enjoyable series. 4 stars.
