This is where the children go to school. The entire building is grey, and no security is there. Students rarely get into fights out of fear of the consequences. There are no textbooks, and the chairs are rickety.

However, food is guaranteed, and all the students receive equal education of a quality similar to that in the Heart of the City. The only difference is the quality of the equipment.

Each grade is divided into four groups, and those are divided into male and female groups. Children 8-16 must attend. Further grades are optional.

Amber walked up to the grey school building and sighed mournfully.

Val saw Amber and walked over to her brightly. She was very thankful to Rosary Fame for helping her stay in this school. "Hi!"

"Hello," Amber smiled.

"How are you?" Val asked, blushing faintly and glancing at the ground.

"Good. And I'd be better if you'd stop blushing," Amber teased.

"Sorry," Val mumbled, but Amber's comment only caused her to turn a tad redder.

"It's okay. Not everyone can be as perfect as me," Amber said.

"Oi!" Val protested, elbowing her friend.

Amber laughed, elbowing Val back.

Val rolled her eyes. "So, how've you been?"

Amber shrugged. "Same as always."

"Helpful, Amber, helpful," Val replied sarcastically.

"Pleasure to be of service," Amber gave a mock curtsy.

Val rolled her eyes. "So, you okay with perhaps skipping a class and going somewhere cool?"

Amber shrugged. "Why not?"

((Cool. I remember that one! I recently finished watching the show. Now I'm watching Supernatural with my dad.))

"Okay. Any preference on where we go?" Val asked, eyes glittering in her excitement.

((I remember watching it like 6 years ago. This episode confused me so much it wasn't even funny. I was just like, "WHAT THE FUDGE IS GOING ON HERE???" and I need to rewatch this show!))

Amber shook her head. "Nah. Anywhere but here."

((Oh. I liked the earlier seasons better, honestly. I do ship Spuffy though))

"How about the Ice Cream Parlor? Or the Slaughterhouse, heard that place is terrifying. Or we could go to the Wall!" Val grinned, her face flushing. She bounced on the balls of her feet.

"You can choose," Amber said.

((I just remember being extremely confused during this episode, the musical (that was my favorite), and that there was a sex-powered haunted house.))

((Oh yeah, there was that. The musical one was great!))

Val stared at her and muttered loudly, "Yep, little miss helpful."

Amber elbowed Val. "You'll figure something out. You're Val!" she cheered.

Val laughed. "Obviously. Slaughterhouse?"

"Sounds delightful," Amber agreed.

"Want to get snacks and such on the way?" Val asked, grabbing Amber's hand and trying (and only half succeeding) not to blush.

Amber nodded, deciding not to nag Val about the blush - this time.

Val led the way towards the Outskirts.

Amber followed along, mostly because Val was still grabbing her hand.
