Ari - let me know how you want to BR it.. set chapters per day or set date to finish or just on our own time!
I work over nights so I started a bit ago - it's about 3:30 am here currently - and just finished chapter 3. Very very curious about this story currently. Loving the slow build of suspense as to who the "stranger" in Near is. Good characters so far and wonderful writing!
First five chapters done. I'm off work in about an hour and driving the struggle bus - so so tired. Will be ready to pick the story back up tonight when I get back to work after getting some sleep!
42% - 11 chapters - page 119I'm at work tonight again, it's about 5:20 am, its dark in my dispatch room. There's been severe thunderstorms all night and I work alone. The eeriness of this novel is just right for nights like tonight. Only wish it hadn't been so busy so I could have read more.
72% done, just finished chapter 20, only ten chapters to go!I'm really curious how this will play out. I loved finally getting some back story on Cole and the interactions between him and Lexi are my favorites. I'm also excited that my copy of this book has the ash-born boy short story in it so I'll get to read more of Cole once I finish!

If the wind calls at night, you must not listen. The wind is lonely, and always looking for company.
There are no strangers in the town of Near.
These are the truths that Lexi has heard all her life.
But when an actual stranger, a boy who seems to fade like smoke, appears outside her home on the moor at night, she knows that at least one of these sayings is no longer true.
The next night, the children of Near start disappearing from their beds, and the mysterious boy falls under suspicion.
As the hunt for the children intensifies, so does Lexi’s need to know about the witch that just might be more than a bedtime story, about the wind that seems to speak through the walls at night, and about the history of this nameless boy.
