"Get a room, little brother," Ash smirked. He loved his horse just as much but he wasn't telling anyone that. Instead, he opened a chocolate bar he kept in his pocket.
"Bet it is," he laughed. "Anything interesting happening? This Selection is making my life really boring, hiding in my room and all."
"No way, they're like leeches." He looked around to see if they were any girls around then continued. "They're so fake and I guess I'll hide until Mother and Father have to drag me out of my room."
Ash ruffled his brother's hair. "Cupid got to you too?" He put his hands up and shouted, "try your hardest Cupid, but I already love someone and they show up every time I look in the mirror."
"Don't take things so literally. And I noticed none of my questions have been answered. Father taught me better." He added, "Unfortunately," in a low voice.
"Aw, come on bro," Ash said wishing he could take back his words. "You don't even want to be in my position. I get enough attention for my looks, I didn't want his attention." Asher hated it, that barrier stood between him and his brother.
"Okay, I won't." Ash really never knew what to say to him. "I'll tell you that I wish that I could have grown up with you guys and have fun. Instead, I had to learn and train. And now this!" He tried to keep himself from screaming. "All I'm saying is it's not what it's cracked up to be."
"That's why it sucks so much. I don't want people to expect anything from me. I don't want to be expected to pick a wife in from of all of Illéa. I never wanted any of this," Ash breathed. "Chocolate?"
"I'm coming," he took his horse, Jules, that he'd named after himself. He'd even got her to match his hair. Ash got his saddle and put it on Jules. "And no you don't get a say in the matter. I just want to talk to you about something other than our differences. We're still brothers."
"Son of a..." Ash quickly got on Jules and followed Alex, matching his speed. "No far, cheaters never prosper." Even though his father told him different.
"Trying," Ash called back. He struggled with keeping up. Jules is out of shape. "My fault, my fault, this is totally my fault. Sorry Jules," he whispered her. "Man, I'm out of shape too," he mumbled.
"I wish I did," he breathed. "I'm making a new commitment, for Jules. So are we head anywhere in particular or is this a way to show off your awesome skills? Which did impress me by the way."
"Have I seen Cami?" He repeated. "Barges in my room, gives me Selection lecture, drags me to talk to a girl she met that she likes; nope haven't seen here."
"You're lucky. I've only seen you and Cami. How's she doing? Did Cupid get her too? Are...um...any of the girls bothering her?" He took a deep breath after he finished his questions.
"Oh, interesting aye?" He raised his eyebrow. "So what's so interesting little brother? Of course, you could say nothing because Cami always finds people at interesting times."
"And were you with anyone one?" Ash tried to stifle a laugh. "Oh, and what exactly were you doing in that position?" Weird pictures were forming in Asher's head. It did make him sad a bit. He wanted to be found in position like that. 'Not the picture of perfection,' he thought.
"Why would you take pictures of nature? Perfectly sexy brother is right here." He thought about it. "Do you have your camera? I'd like to see your pictures. And maybe you can take a couple of me." He winked at him.
"Ducks, huh? We all have our obsessions. You're obsessed with photography and I'm obsessed with...something." He snorted. "But duck tops the ridiculous obsessions list."
Asher pointed to the woman in the background. "Alex, you seem to like cliches. The maid? Well there isn't anything wrong with her exactly but I'm just saying that it's cliche. So, what's she like?"
He rolled his eyes. "I mean exactly what I said. Don't make me dig around. I can be a royal pain in the ass." Ash poked his brother's back. "If you don't...I'll...I'll...tell Selected girls you're interested in them."
((Sorry, for not replying. I legitimately feel awful. So if you're up to continuing I'm making a commitment to RP more anyway.))
"Oh ye of little knowledge, where would I be if I didn't assume? The only thing I really know is that I'm just naturally a sexy beast." Ash tried to put a hand to show his body. "A good model, you say? Has she done any modeling for you? Hmm?"((Yes, especially with finals next week. At least for me. But I'm gonna try to RP to keep me sane))
"Prince Assume...I like that. Well we need to find you a girl. There seem to be a surplus of them in the castle lately," he muttered bitterly. "But seriously, if you need any modeling don't be shy to ask. My door's always open to adoring fans. You'd even get a brotherly discount." Asher struck a pose, flexing his muscles slowly.
Asher got a dirty look at his brother, "Oh please do, I'd make dung look good." Then, quietly he said, "I don't want a wife, but Illéa wants me to pick one. The one person who would get my discomfort is the main Selection wife Cheerleader."
"Yes, avoiding sounds great." Hw tried to put a lazy smile on his face but his face felt like he was trying to hard. Al he's been doing is avoiding this but sooner or later he's going to have to pick his Queen. "The Anti-Cami way."
Asher died of laughing, "She's a force to be reckon with," he said finally. "And the most thorough person I know. She's already planned my wedding with this girl she likes. Actually she probably has one for you too and you "non-existent love" interest."
"Yeah well apparently she met this girl," he rolled his eyes. "I think her name was Mae, and she dragged me to meet her. It was okay. She pretended that she wasn't completely floored with me, but we all known she is. Cami probably hasn't even met half, but knows them all. We're lucky we're related to her. She's scary when she wants to."
"Wrong brother, it's lasers. Yeah, I kind of skipped that part. I'm making my own rules now." He tried his announcer voice, "The Selection: Asher Julius Kensington edition."
"Rules were made to be broken, little brother. If you're ever feeling rebellious you can join Cami and I's rebellion. You can state random facts about how we're right while we march and hold signs." A.J laughed. "The Royal Rebellious Trio. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"
"Yeah being serious is very hard work. How's that working for you. Someone tightened your strings too tight." He sighed. "You were born into a family with very loyal but rebellious people. Loosen up, just a little. Not for me, obviously. For Cami and Ara. They'd love to be all weird with you. We're not just royal snobs you know."
Asher apologized to his poor horse and pushed her to her limits. "Alex!" He shouted. Under his breath he was cursing himself. He knew that Alexander felt like he wasn't appreciated, he was being out of line. "Come on, I'm sorry. Please. This is me apologizing. Right now. Dude, slow down. Don't be like that. I thought we were making progress. I was being stupid."

"Yeah you kind of do. Let's take a moment and appreciate the power of words when we use them rarely. So, I really am sorry. I'm not saying I didn't mean that, I kind of mean the last half. But I shouldn't have said that."
"How about this, I'll help." He breathed in. "I mean, I've got work and Selection crap but if you want to do something weird and you have to much work, I'll help. Maybe we can start off with playing with dolls?"
This caught Asher by surprise for a second, before he recovered. "You, little brother, have so much work to do. And that isn't even weird. You're the prince, you don't just steal food from your own kitchen." He thought about it, "Okay maybe sometimes but no...I think dolls would be the perfect starter. Unless you want Cami to torture you?" Ash raised his eyebrows at his little brother.
