Not yet but I'm hoping to start in a fews days.

Alright 😊 I'm gonna try starting today but if not then hopefully tomorrow. Just have some things to finish first

I'm so painfully behind on things, but I'm going to do my best to finish up book one and join you guys! I hate it when life gets in the way of my reading!!! :)

I know the feeling. I'm behind on a lot of books, but this one I'll start somewhere this week.

Through prologue and chapter 1 - yep, I finally started this. About damn time

Chapter 1 - (view spoiler)[ we start with the most anticipated perspectives - that cliffhanger about Arya in the last book killed me, but thankfully I was revived by the brilliant first chapter. So much excitement! (hide spoiler)]

prologue - (view spoiler)[ that was the longest prologue in history but I didn't mind. I had beenshouting WHERE'S LORD STANNIS? in the first book too much for that. Also the maester dying was sad but expected. Aaand I have yet to read a prologue by Martin that does not end in death..haha (hide spoiler)]

13% through. (view spoiler)[ I'm really liking how Tyrion is ruling. Justice, yes. I'm curious as to what happens when Catelyn and Brynden join with Renly! He's so fun. All glitter and no gold but still, I'm kind of fond of him
Poor Stannis has been brainwashed. I hope he doesn't actually kill his brother. He'll probably die himself.. (hide spoiler)]

I'm drowning in books, so I will step out of the BR. Sorry, guys, maybe next year I'll give it another go.

I haven't forgotten about this but it's been so hectic that I haven't started it yet but I have tomorrow off work so tomorrow is the day!!!!!

I'm reading in the middle of the prologue now and currently reading it. I read a few pages of it on Thursday and then got busy again but I'm determined to finish at least a few chapters today.

This is going quite slow for me (or maybe that's just my pace lol)

35% through. (view spoiler)[ Tyrion is doing well ruling, and opposing Cersei where he can. Though he's not perfect- letting the rest of the city starve, for example, while the castle gets plenty of food. But mostly he does try

I couldn't see the point of dragging Arya's journey to Winterfell...but as of recently I'm not sure that IS the point. Maybe she'll end up at the Wall after all. Who knows? There's a girl Brienne in Renly's Kingsguard. Anything may happen. chapters have got quite intense lately. The burning of Harrenhal, enslavement of Gendry... I am quite fond of him.

Theon's chapter was a joy. More than I had hoped for. Now his father probably wants to storm on Winterfell!

Stannis JUST arrived now and Renly's appearance just happened too. NOW the clash happens. I feel like it dragged quite a bit till here. I hope they don't kill each other though...that'd be ugly. They're brothers! Daenerys has only got one chapter so far.. Jon's are ok.. I hope Sansa escapes but she told Sandor Clegane about godswood so I don't know

Bran's chapters are all mostly empty really. Same old feasts and northern affairs and the Walder boys. Buuut I'm curious about the Reed siblings! I wonder if they actually got to see the wolves afterall. I'm excited about what they contribute to the plot next! Bran's chapters always end on exciting notes. Last time he had a panic attack when the Lannsiter twins were mentioned. My poor boy (hide spoiler)]

I agree! I felt sorry for her too..by the end of book 1. (view spoiler)[ yes, it was annoying how delusional she was about Cersei and the other Lannisters but her father having to be killed in order for her to see the Lannisters are they are was brutal (hide spoiler)]
