Gilsa walked into a training room. She looked around. No one was there. She picked up something.
Richard walked into the same training room and picked up a practice sword and saw Gilsa holding the same style practice sword.
Gilsa quickly turned around. She very nearly took his head off. "Oh. Hi Richard." She stiffly.
"Gilsa," he replied with an equally stiff nod. He had instinctively parried her blow.
Gilsa walked a few paces away. She didn't use her sword, but kept it in her hand, muscles tensed.
"How goes the day?" He asked coolly, not even blinking.
Gilsa didn't replied and glared over at him.
He made the nonverbal gesture that universally meant that he was challenging her to a fencing match. He saluted his opponent.
Gilsa nodded and lunged at him. She glared, stabbing at him feircely.
Richard easily defended himself to her attacks and quickly managed to hit her on the head with what would have been the edge of his blade.
Gilsa glared and whacked him in the legs.
((Something that you are really not supposed to do because it is really easy to avoid and leaves you open))
Richard took the opening to whack her in the head.
Richard took the opening to whack her in the head.
Marcus came into the room, for a quick late training lesson. He always trained with the bow after a particular exhausting mission. Instead of finding the room deserted, he saw Richard and Glisa sparring, in what looked like a duel, which would be won by Richard.
After a little under a minute, Richard whacked Gilsa in the head again. He didn't notice Marcus's entry.
((He seems to like doing that))
((He seems to like doing that))
Marcus went in the side of the room opposite to where Richard and Glisa were fighting. He picked a long bow, and started shooting. Every time he got three bulls eyes her stepped back 5 meters from the target.
Gilsa noticed Marcus and didn't say anything. Gilsa managed to get Richard a hit on the head. Fighting wasn't her specialty, her disguises were.
Richard noticed Gilsa's distraction, and after he cursed himself for not seeing her attack, he preceded to use her lack of focus against her and landed a cut on her stomach. Were they real swords, it would have cut clean through her. As they were not, it only made her double over.
Gilsa glowered at him. She was going have to admit defeat, but wasn't quite ready. She thrust her sword at his stomach and managed to hit it kind of hard.
Richard didn't even flinch and used the fact that her sword was in no position to move in order to cut down at her neck.
Gilsa stepped back, removing her sword, and admitted, "I am no match for you." She nodded stiffly and set down her sword.
Richard smirked. He now had to go spy on Isolde at Devon Nyx's orders. Apparently, Devon Nyx believed Isolde to be a Resistance spy.
Gilsa glared at him with hostility. She wanted badly to trust him, but knew she couldn't. She just couldn't
Marcus didn't observe when Glisa came next to him. He dropped the bow on floor and turned to Glisa."So Glisa... What's Up?"
"Nothing much. You?" Gilsa said stiffly.

With grey stone walls, the barracks are not pretty. On a few levels, there are training rooms in which spies may train with various weapons and techniques.
There are secret entrances from the Middle City Slums and the Heart of the City to enter so that the location is not suspected.
