That time again, time to pick our next group read.

It's been a while since we chose a good old novel for our group read so this is your chance.

Comment below with a fiction book you'd like to nominate. A few rules below:

- Should be written by a Kiwi author or set in NZ
- Should be relatively easy to get hold of (e.g. available in both print and e-version)

Nominations will close Saturday 24 August 2019 - only one week. I'll then put up a poll - most votes win (one vote per person).

So let the nominations start rolling in... :)

I'm going to nominate The Conductor by kiwi author Sarah Quigley - purely because I picked it up at the DCM booksale in Wellington this weekend :)

Angie | 175 comments Nominating The Unreliable People by Rosetta Allan. I enjoyed Purgatory and have this book sitting in my TBR pile.

Rita Kunselman | 263 comments I am from So. Cal but, I read several Kiwi’s work. If it’s not too late I love Kris Pearson, Serenity Woods & Tracey Alvarez all of those if I see their names as Authors I grab! You Authors are a hidden resource of New Zealand!

[SIGH] Rita, you are right with your comment 'hidden resource'. Personally, I spend many hours a week trying to change it - promoting my own books via social media, and giving other NZ authors a boost with my review site. So good to know someone in US knows we exist, and really good to see the next challenge restricted to Kiwi authors. I hope it's a local author whose work is chosen - I've seen some hilarious results from authors elsewhere who set a book in NZ!

I folks, apologies for having not put a up a poll for this month's group read- I thought I had but something must have gone wrong. Since there are only two nominations I think we may as well just have two group reads for Sept-Oct :)
