I'm 23 and I understand what you mean about not thinking or experiencing the same things as a teen and in a way (no offence) some of the thing teens need advice about we have already been there and done that. :-)
Heyy! Aww this thread is such a good idea :) I'm 23 and I always feel so old online haha. And obviously anyone can come here to ask for advice if they'd like :D
I'm a little bit younger then all of you and Carrie (I'm 20) but I still regard myself as an older hopeful. I love sharing my experiences with the younger hopefuls and it give me that big sisterly feeling Carrie always talks about.
The idea to have a thread for us is great because I sometimes struggle to find people who are a similar age/going though the same things as me :)
I'm 22 and I would share my experiences to any younger hopefuls. It would make me feel like the big sister I always wanted to be!
I turn 20 in November so I am a bit younger than Carrie but I am definitely not a teen anymore xD Glad you started this thread :) It would be nice to have a place to go when I need advice about university or work or other things. :) <3
I'm 20, 21 in April so I'm a couple of years younger than Carrie considering she's going to be 22 soon :)
I like this idea! I've just turned 20 so I've said goodbye to my teenage years and although I still feel as mature as I did when I was 12, I'll try my best to help and support :)

I am 20 and I love this idea. I feel like a lot of youtubers are younger people, and so for those of us who are "older" it's nice to connect with people my own age, and to try, like carrie, to pass down our own experiences.( Which is one reason I started my 365andcounting forum here ) But to have a forum where we can just talk and be real with each other is a great thing. I could use a support group of people my own age.
Hey guys! I'm also 20 and definitely don't feel like a teen anymore. It's so good to have this thread because it's not even about our age anymore. It's about what each of us has been though and how we've grown from those experiences. I watch Carrie's vids and feel like someone's been through the same things I have. In fact (no offense) I sometimes feel left out because she mostly addresses 13-18 year olds, which I find amazing but can't entirely relate to.
Hi guys! Nad again :) A few days ago, Carrie turned 22 and someone did a "Why we love Carrie" video and Carrie shared it. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDGcx...)And that inspired this: I started viewing Carrie this year (yep, kind of late :/) I was going through some hard stuff: a really hard break up, I was lost, couldn't find myself, I was doing terrible at college and had no intentions on getting better.
I suddenly found Dan and Phil (I loved them too!)and starting watching some videos and found Carrie in one of them, I thought "what a sweet and beautifull girl!" so I obviously started watching her videos.
Some days later, Carrie broke up with Alex, and I saw her went the same path I did and recover, and smile and keep doing amazing things.I realised I could do the same, I left the shadows and started living again, I remembered how much I loved books! and found myself again :)
So I'm very thankful I found a littler sister that taught me so much!
I think we can share our stories about How did you found Carrie or how did she affected your lives? :)
I'm 23 and always feel like I stick out so much! I've somehow met some amazing people my age through the hopefulforum, but it was sheer luck. Only actually started watching Carrie in the last year since my housemate suggested her - think I'd seen her in some of Alex Day's videos but wasn't really paying attention because he was starting to bug me, but it makes me sad that I missed her because I was so focussed on being annoyed!Practising positivity these days. And being much more generous with my youtube subscriptions. :P
I'm glad that there are lots of 'older' people on here too :) I've already posted on this, I'm 23 so I feel a bit weird calling myself a 'fan' of YouTubers- does anyone else get that? I found Carrie through Alex too. I found Alex through Dan(isnotonfire) who I know a bit in real life, one day some of our mutual friends were talking about his channel and I had a look, and that's what made me start subscribing to YouTubers. Carrie's introduced me to some new songs, and encouraged me to read more (and join GR!). And Les Mis has been my favourite musical for years, so I especially enjoy her videos now that she's in that hehe.
I feel like maybe I'm a bit late in the game here... but I'm 20 and agree with stuff you all have said. I love Carrie's YouTube content, as well as her outlook on life! It is such a rare gift to find people who understand their responsibility as a role model for younger girls. Even though I'm not a teenager anymore, the way she presents herself has made a deep impact on me, and I love following her adventures.(Thankful I found this group today, by the way!) Xx
I'm 22, I think I'm only a few weeks younger than Carrie, I can't remember the exact date of her birthday but I know it's in October and mine's the start of November.I agree with everything said here, I feel like a lot of the youtuber fans are made up of teens which makes me sometimes feel a bit out of place (not that any of the fans would want to do that). I discovered Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil first, I saw loads of posts of them on sites like Tumblr and Pinterest and checked out their youtube channels. I subscribed to them and saw Carrie in a few of their videos and then subscribed to her!
I've discovered most of the other youtubers that I watch through them being in each others videos which I really enjoy and the others I've discovered from seeing posts of them or about them on Tumblr! (Although, again, on Tumblr I sometimes feel a bit old as I know that site's made up of mostly teens)
I'm so glad this page has been started! I love Carrie and it's nice to find other fans that are slightly more mature (in age, not necessarily in mentality lol) than the others. I love the feel of community amongst fans of youtubers, especially Carrie's!
xx

I'm not trying to be disrespectful or offensive, but when you are older, you don't think or experience the same things you do as a teen, so I thought we could share those stories and help each other.
If you are younger and want an advice, you are also welcome :D We could be your big sister/brother!
