The search for the illusive vibe…..

A recent Study by Georgia Tech in the US. showed that “people tend to subconsciously eat bigger portions of food when their plate is the same color as their food“

A Trick to Eat Less — This trick was reported based on a Georgia Tech study. The study essentially found that people tend to subconsciously eat bigger portions of food when their plate is the same color as their food…. In this particular study, the scientists theorized that less color contrast between plate and food makes our brains work harder to figure out appropriate portion sizes. More color contrast between plate and food would make people eat slightly smaller portions subconsciously.

While this may be true and the scientists explanations may be accurate, I have a slightly different take on the reason that this is so.

We choose the foods we eat to give our bodies not just physical nutrients but the energetic frequencies that we need to give us health. Each food has a color and each color is a frequency or vibration. If all the food on our plates is the same color and that color is the same color as the plate, we are receiving only one frequency… .

Our bodies need a range of frequencies to support good health. If you eat one color food on a plate of the same color, you will eat and eat and eat in an unconscious search for the range of frequencies that you intuitively know you need. Your body will send you signals of continued hunger in its vain effort to feel the satisfaction that comes from eating a mixture of foods with the variety of frequencies it needs. If you eat only white potatoes and a white fish on a white plate. for example, you will be receiving a very small range of frequencies (from the fish vs. the potatoes, but the range will not be nearly as broad as if you had green broccoli, red grilled tomatoes, yellow corn and a white fish filet. Your body knows what it needs. It will eat more in its effort to receive the very frequencies or energies it needs for its health and well-being.

Let’s not blame our brains for our weight gain, let’s become aware of the energetic component of this mysterious effort to eat well.

Thoughts?

Deborah Lloyd (goodreadscomdeb_lloyd) | 3 comments Elaine, I agree with you totally. I've studied color therapy, and the energies of our food choices are affected by the colors of the food. Ever wonder why so many unhealthy foods are bland in color????? Thanks for sharing this information.

Deborah Lloyd (goodreadscomdeb_lloyd) | 3 comments You make another good point, Elaine. Why eat foods that we really don't like? Our bodies are telling us it does not want that food item. If we listen to our inner guidance, and follow it, we often make healthier food choices.
