This is my kinda challenge:D!!

I'm doing a fall fear challenge in another group. I tried to see if any of the books I'm reading over there would fit in this one but I'm just not sure! I'll probably try to pick out a few for this challenge as well. probably demons or dragons. I'm not too fond of dystopian stuff. it scares & depresses me!

Too bad I already read the Kim Harrison series, that would have been a good one to read for this. I'm in for this one. :)

Yeah! I'm on book....10? 11? I can never remember! The Madeleine Black series would fit perfectly! I really liked the first two books but the 3rd one just didn't work for me. Search Black Wings. It's that one. Sorry, I can't link from my iPad. :(

Is it anything scary? Or just demons, dystopia and dragon books? Because I have a few ghost stories including a Bloody Mary book I'm dying to read!

It just books that have a demon, Dragon and Dystopia books. But it can be about ghost but one of the 3 have to make a guest appearance in the book.

I was wondering about how prizes are awarded for challenges, i.e. is it for whoever reads the most, or some other criteria?

It is random. I make a list of people who have read 5 book gets one chance to win a prize. I do computer draw it with random org and then I email the winner.

So if you read 20 books that is four chances to win. A prize.

The more people who sign up mean the more prize to be won.

I got a few dysstopian books that I have been wanting to read even a series! And yes your email this morning about the book offer sweetened the pot.....definitely in!!

OK I'm a rookie do I just go to my books and create a shelf? Then do the mods just go in and check to make sure we are doing the challenge? Or any I to somehow to tag this book club? Sorry for being a pain. I just signed up yesterday. :-\

I made a step by step guide to help with challenges. So yes you make a shelf and add the books for the challenge. Then follow the last 3 pictures from the step by step guide.

Are we aloud to pick a book we started reading a few years ago, but never finished? As long as we re-start it?
And are we aloud to read a book we have already fully read?

Do we have to review the books for them to count?

No you don't have to review the book but add starts will let goodreads know you read the book.

yes you are aloud too as long as you didn't rate it already on goodreads.

Can a book of anthologies count? Like if one of the shorts have a dragon an then other have a dragon, but theres also vampires an whatnots.

Is the option to enter your bookshelf for a challenge only accessible from the desktop version of GR? I cannot find it on my mobile or iPad app. Still new to group activities, sorry.

I think its only from desktop. I have yet to use the goodread apps.

You create a shelf for the challenge and choose books to read from that shelf. There is a link in the comments above that shows you what to do

Yes, Sarah Vamp Queen is right. The step by step guide is in the comment about. On september 30.

I need help: I have set up a shelf for this challenge, just finished reading my first book, and for some reason it is not showing that I have completed that book, it still says I have read "0 out of 10" instead of "1 out of 10." I copied and pasted the shelf into the appropriate box in my challenge but it doesn't recognize the shelf web address. I have done this in the past with other challenges and there was never an issue before, so I'm a bit lost.
Can anyone advise me as to how to fix this?

Did you add the date? I know that books will not add to the challenge unless the date is added.

Thanks for your help with the shelf!
I'm one of those old fashioned people who prefers books to computer screens, so thanks anyway.

Loving this challenge so far, it's pushing me to read some books I might not have previously been interested in! I only have one and a half books left to read!!
