Hello literary ladies!! I’m starting a new job teaching anglophone literature to future ESL teachers 🤩 One of the units is about feminist literature and dystopias, I was hoping to read “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Atwood since it could be included in both categories. However, I don’t think we’ll have much time since we have a loooot more to read and little time. Do you have any recommendations for these two categories? Maybe something similar to THT... Thanks!!!

Hi there! I haven't read it yet, but Woman on the Edge of Time by Marge Piercy is definitely on my to-read list and I think it fits your description perfectly! Her other books also seem to be very good.
The Yellow Wallpaper is. a SmAhing comment art on psychiatric and medical care of women in th 18th century.
This post breaks the rules on self-promotion, but Athena's Choice is the exact type of book you're talking about.
Have you read Sealed - Naomi Booth or I Who Have Never Know Men - Jaqueline Harpman. Both brilliant, but the second is translated from French so I’m not sure that fits your criteria!!
