Were the illustrations realistic, colorful, full page, etc?Do you remember any other monsters besides Cyclops?
Were the stories scary, funny, etc?
the illustrations varied from story to story, but were all full color and mostly cartoonish. i think the relocation story was about a yeti but i’m not sure. like i think his cave was in a construction zone and the kids were in the area for vacation and found him and possibly took him home.most of the stories were just funny and a little eerie, i think there were a few creepy ones and a few shorter like poems or songs.
i distinctly remember they had a icky version of ‘here comes the bride’ that i’m pretty sure continued ‘big fat and wide’ but i cannot for the life of me remember any more, except that it probably involved like boils and insects and stuff. sorry i can’t be more specific!
Maybe It's Behind You!: Monster Poems by Paul Cookson? (published in 2003 or at least that's what I saw in other websites; on Goodreads it says it was published in 2010 so that would be too recent for your search). Found searching online.

"i think the cover was green, i remember there was one story about kids relocating a yeti, and one i think about a giant or cyclops creating an ocean because he was crying? or maybe he made very bad and salty soup? both?
there was one poem/parody that started out- “here comes the bride, big fat and wide”
yes it’s horrible i know but it has been stuck in my head ever since and continues to describe lots of nasty body stuff. possibly the bride is a troll."

it was a (green?) pocket size book full of stories about monsters. there was one about the origin of the ocean; a cyclops who made a very salty cauldron of soup that gets spilled by someone. one about two kids who helped a monster who lived in a cave find a new home. there was something about a monster that lived in a shed in an elementary school... ringing any bells?
