The Slaughterhouse
Cecily smiled as she walked into the slaughter house. If I ever leave the Council I'm going to get a job here
Adam's eyes stayed fixed on a canvas only to shift towards the slaughtering of a cow. A paint brush remained in his hand as he dragged red paint across the canvas to illustrate the sight he saw before him.
"Thank you for you compliment Cecily, but I find it terrible." With both hands he tore the canvas apart. Turning he stared at his fellow council member. "So what brings you here?"
"I'm hunting elephants" She laughed "I came here to think. Get away from people. So do you always paint animals being being sliced open?"
"No, sometimes I paint people getting sliced open." A smile stretched onto his face. "Sorry if I am stopping you from getting away from people."
She grinned back at him "I would like to see those paintings sometime. And something tells me you're not like the other people."
"I would like to show them to you." Adam glanced over to the clock on the wall just behind Cecily. "Maybe after dinner, if you would indulge me?"
The sun was starting to set. "Hmm shall we say the Starry Night in the heart of the city, in an hour." Adam smiled as he held the door open for her.
"Thank you." She stepped out into the street. "That sounds wonderful. I'll be anxiously watching the clock" she smiled at him.
Val took a bite of her food before stepping into the Slaughterhouse. She grimaced, but she didn't mind the stench of blood as much as most people. She looked around the place in feverish excitement.
Amber looked around, eyes wide with curiosity. She'd never had any reason to be in the Slaughterhouse, but it did seem to be quite...interesting.
"I can see where this place got its name," Amber said, taking note of the blood-stained floor.
((I don't think this has been mentioned, but you put the wrong form of meet/meat in the descriptiony thingy))

((Oh, whoops. I was doing that quickly. Thanks!))
Val smiled. "So, what do you think?" She cocked her head to the side.
Val burst out laughing. "So, want some snacks to eat on the bloodstained ground?"
((I'm watching Doctor Who. I shouldn't know what this species is, but I've had people spoiling things. ))
((Cool! Well, not the spoiling things))
Val sat down and handed a bag of chips to Amber.
Val sat down and handed a bag of chips to Amber.
Val smiled, not bothering with "you're welcome". "So, how's school?"
"What?" Val asked, noting Amber's discomfort.
"What?" Val pressed, a look of genuine concern on her face.
"It's not. You're worried," she protested.
"Oh," Val said, looking down. "Sorry."
((What is up with her?))
((What is up with her?))
((It's the thing about school and her parents. She's still kinda pissed that they were jerks to her about the whole Resistance thing, so she doesn't want to be reminded.))
"I- it's okay. Sensitive topic right now. Maybe later." Amber set her chip bag down and put her arm around Val's shoulder.

((Ah, okay))
Val made an astounding impression of a fish-tomato hybrid.

Amber gave Val a quizzical look, trying (and failing) at concealing her laughter. "What on earth are you doing?"
"How am I supposed to know?" Val protested.
((How are all the ships going to fit in her stomach?))
Val stole a handful of Amber's chips and shoved them into her own mouth.

((You're welcome.))
Val reached out her hand to take another handful, smirking.
Val reached out her hand to take another handful, smirking.
Val snatched a couple of the chips out of Amber's hand.
Val smirked as she slowly pushed the chip into her mouth.
It split in two, half falling onto the ground and half into her mouth. "Oi!" Val protested, the now half-chewed chip still in her mouth.

The meat is then shipped to different City locations.
