Reading in the Rain Book Club discussion

The Shining is divided in five parts, so I'm doing the easy thing and have five different threads, one for each part :)

Here we can discuss the first part of the book! (No spoilers after that part!)

This book is making me feel really uneasy already. This is not going to end well.

My boyfriend and I played through (parts of) P.T. (a horror game teaser) recently and it really creeped me out. Reading about the previous caretaker Grady, brought me straight back and gave me the chills.

I just put a book about a drunken father on hiatus. I don't think I'll pick it up until som time after finishing The Shining. I can only take so much unpleasantness.

Oh! Great start!
Got the feel at the hotel, but kinda lost it again when closing in on the end of part one.
But then Tony came back, and Danny's dreams just gave me the creeps!

Need to work some now, but I'll start reading again when I'm done!

I'm so behind! Ah I felt like this was kind of slow. I really enjoy Danny's point of view though. I'm not really a fan of switching view points but Stephen King does it in an interesting way.
On a side note, I'm also reading a teen novel and the writing is so different its crazyyy.

Whoa I'm super late with reading this one but I wanted to read it near end of the month
