The Distance Between Us discussion

During this story is a memoir about Illegal immigration, while other stories are being connected with it. It manly describes the life of the mothers who don't care for their children and fathers who just drink their life away and with that become more violent. It amazes me throughout this book how two children can through such a horrible life growing up but grow up to succeed throughout their dreams. These children have gone through many things having to rise above abandonment and abuse. Through such things like that kids grow up sometimes far worse than their parents but this showed that it is possible to go through hell and still succeed.
