Before being a Time Thief History: Before Jasper became a Time Thief, she was an anthropologist sponsored by a premier university. However, her inspiration and brilliant mind sort of fell stagnant. She did little, and she drank more and more alcohol and began smoking, got into some futuristic equivalents of drugs, and got into fights. She got the night sky tattooed over most of her body.

How he/she became a Time Thief: In her dark time, she got into a fight with the wrong person, someone who cursed her to become a Time Thief. She was 29 at the time.

As a Time Thief: Since becoming a Time Thief, she pulled herself out of her self destructive behavior -- mostly. She still drinks more than she should. She will stay for years in a time period doing research -- and for every day, she steals a day from another person's life. She does not make friends much so she doesn't feel as guilty for stealing days. She has made a couple that she will occasionally go back and visit. She also goes through phases where she will travel at least once every 24 hours.

Personality: Jasper has been away from people so long that she doesn't know how to be around them any longer. She needs external stimuli. She loves learning. However, she can be a bit taciturn. She tries not to experience emotional attachment to avoid guilt.

Before being a Time Thief History: Geralt spent most of his time through battle and drinking. Never a moment when he was not covered in blood of drowning in one drink or another. None could best him in combat.

How he/she became a Time Thief: In grew ever apparent that Geralt would suffer a peaceful death in his sleep rather than in the heat of battle. Setting out to defy fate itself he travel far and wide hunting anything that was sought to be dangerous. As he neared a cave where it was said none ever returned alive, Geralt charged forward ready to die only to be awoken in a place unfamiliar to him. It was later explained to him about his ability to time travel and what he would have to do to keep his memories.

As a Time Thief: Much has changed since his first leap through time. His urge to die in battle has gone down considerably but still it remains. Geralt finds himself learning more with each leap to a new era.

Personality: Cheerful, loyal, and short tempered. Geralt is a rather nice person when not fighting, an even nicer person when drinking. Yet his temper keeps his nice traits in balance. Always quick to throw the first punch as well as the killing last punch.

Before being a Time Thief: Emma wasn't ever one to follow rules, and she continually did things considered 'unacceptable' for women her age. She defied orders, and was anything but your average 19th century housewife.
How she became a Time Thief: Emma's marriage was arranged. However, she severely disliked the man her parents had chosen for her, and made this fact extremely clear. Once the marriage took place, Emma refused to do anything but sit in silence. Her husband grew so aggravated with her behavior that he cursed Emma to become a Time Thief, telling her that if she wasn't happy with him, maybe she'd be happier without her memories or stealing days from everyone else's lives. He filed for the divorce the next day under the pretense Emma was cheating on him (the only way one really could get a divorce in the 19th century), and Emma left the era.
As a Time Thief: Emma tries to stay for as little as she can in time periods, moving on before she does any real damage. Emma has never stayed in one area long enough to become attached to anyone, and plans to keep it that way.

Personality: Emma has always been a bit rambunctious. Never really one to listen to her parent's warnings, she often got into trouble and was usually sporting some sort of injury. As a Time Thief, Emma remains her usual defiant self, but in quieter ways (occasional vandalism, becoming a background character in a protest, etc). She tries not to stir up too much trouble; the less noticeable her actions, the less likely she is to be noticed, and the less likely she is to form relationships.
