The Realms discussion

Markus walked into the coffee shop and ran a hand through his hair as he walked to the counter. Sure coffee wasn't what he really wanted, he wanted blood and this place was the perfect hunting grounds.

Markus "accidentally" bumped into the human making sure not to spill his coffee on her. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't spill my coffee on you did I?" He asked her, his tone worried

"Let me buy you something to make up for bumping into you then?" he asked sincerely. His hunger was rising up but he pushed it away easily.

Amberlee wandered into the coffee shop wearing only a bikini with a shirt on top. Due to being a mermaid, she didnt know the customs of dress. Amberlee looked around wide-eyed

"What do you want?" he asked watching as well. It was strange that she just waltzed in dressed like that.

Amberlee energetically walked to the counter
"Umm... what is this place?" She asked curiously

Markus watched the two. He new the girl he had bumped into was human, he carefully took a deep breath and nearly gagged as his nose was filled with the smell of fish and water

"What is wrong?" Amberlee asks, concerned at his look.

Markus nodded in agreement. "Where are you from?" he asked curiously.

"The sea.. seatle area. Im not used to this warm weather." She sighed, pleased at her save.

"It's on me. I owe her anyway." she nodded at the human. "Im Markus by the way." he stuck his hand out to her.

"Yeah?" he asked looking at her

His eyes went to her neck as he nodded. He ordered her drink and paid for it

He took a sip of his coffee in response. "So what made you spill your drink?" he asked curiously

"That's good to hear." he smiled warmly. "Do you come here often?" he asked curiously

"I like coffee to the point that I'm here once a day." he chuckled

"Coffee is my best friend." he shrugged

"23 what about you?" he asked

"Want to sit down?" he asked.

"Just a few months. I got tired of where I lived." he shrugged. "What about you?" he asked

"Well I've live in Italy and London and France and several states in the US." he told her

"Nope. I've never been to Australia, I've always wanted to go though, does that count?" he asks

"Nah. Don't want any either." he shook his head.

"I've always been alone. Getting used to someone being with me would be pretty hard."

"Sometimes I do. But then I realize its probably safer." he shrugged

"Ugh ... I meant more stable. I move a lot" he told her

"Hey" he flinched and rubbed his shoulder

"Nah, I was only messing around." he assured her

"Wow. You like rain huh?" he chuckled

"I don't mind them. They help me sleep sometimes."

"You okay?" he asked trying to bring her back to the present

"You just looked pretty far away for a moment there." he explained watching her.

"Yeah." he nodded as he looked at his now empty cup, craving something else entirely now

"Wait are you walking home in this weather?" he asked genuinely concerned.

"I'm here and I have a car. Besides I wouldn't want your brother getting out in this weather leaving you here to wait on him." he told her seriously

"This way then." he smiled standing up motioning her to follow with him.

"Cars over here." he told her leading her to the side of the shop with the parking lot. The hunger was budding up and he felt bad because he actually liked the girl.

"Thanks. Its new." he unlocked the car and opened the passengers door for her.

"Here, put your address in." he motioned to the gps as he got in. He had no intention of actually taking her home, her scent was washing over him nearly driving him to biting her already

He was actully surprised at how close they lived, which would make it simple to get her to his place.

"Yeah sorry, lost in thought." he turned the car on and headed toward his house.
