How this works:


Use the following template to write out your character for us to see. I have included formatting tips and notes to help you in this process.

Create a new topic in this folder for your character. Once he or she is complete to your satisfaction, move their topic to the folder Characters—Awaiting Approval. It is there you will receive feedback on your character from the moderators.

Beware: I (Sunshine) will be pissed off (and miffed!) if you have failed to follow my instructions and/or formatting. I have made it as simple as I can while still maintaining a consistent look and function as a profile. Do your part.

– Before you start work on your character, read this. It is an excellent little article. It doesn't take long to read and I know that I personally gained a lot from reading the article. Please just read it. It will help make our roleplay better and maybe even your own writing too!

– Keep it real. I hate soap opera-characters.

– I have specifically used characters (like the en dash "–") that are not found on most characters. Please copy and paste the profile.

– If I say "or" that means only one of the listed options.

– Pay attention to capitalization.

– Don't add in or take out any line breaks. I have them where I want them.

– NO NOVELS—We'll be exploring our characters primarily in-story, no need to make up a whole load of stuff to later stray from as the character develops in their own way.

– Please don't spend half the profile repeating yourself. If something is especially important to the character, we'll get it in the roleplay. This profile is a skeleton of a person.

– One last reading assignment. (see here) This very neatly explains hyphens and dashes, a thing almost everyone struggles with. Learn and demonstrate your knowledge to me thus!
