A novelette of curses and journeys.

Avice's dreams of settling at Clearwater are dashed. The lawsuit had ended, and the lands were made over to her, but a bone wizard lays a curse on the land, and blight brings to spread. All will die before the curse as it spreads.

Neither her family nor her king are willing to help. She is left alone with only the knowledge that the mysterious Book of Bone may have the lore that she needs -- if only she can find it.

This blurb works. Only wording tweaks would be "The lawsuit ha[s] ended,and the lands made over ... and [a killing] blight [begins]

I am not someone to go to for graphic advice, but might you want to make the font a wee bit more fanciful to match the art? I would get an opinion from someone who knows such things.

Love the cover art.

Ooops! You're definitely right about the tense. I blame switching to present. 0:)

Fonts get tricky about visibility vs. fancy, to be sure.
