A short story of magic and reunions.

At long, long last. . . .

For five long years, Sanchia has held the lands of her husband alone, while he fought in the desperate war against malign shades. Much will change when he returns.

Especially because he brings the magical sword, found in the mountains, with him. And, it turns out, other things follow.

Love the cover.
Might you be able to turn the last sentence into a question with a little more specificity? With a short story, it seems difficult to tell enough but not too much. Something like "When Sanchia's husband brings the sword, can Sanchia [get something she wants] when the sword/the husband/somebody/ [will do something, likely something awful or mysterious.]
These are just thoughts for your consideration.

Yeah, it's hard to work out that last line. . . sigh. I'll have to give it another stab.
