Grace is a well-mannered young woman. She isn't rude nor will she ever say anything foul-mouthed. She will stand up for her friends though, even if it means being confident and brave, which Grace is clearly not. She's an introvert. She loves to spend her time alone reading and hates parties. Grace was born the only child in her family, they couldn't afford to have another since they were caste 6. Her father was a construction worker and her mother was a gardener. They both earned minimum wage and had to combine their payments to get Grace food and clothes. They never had to pay bills or taxes because their house didn't use electricity or pumping water. Their family grew up just fine without it.
Once Grace started to grow into a young woman, her mother kept proposing a selection ting at the dinner table, but her father thought it was too dangerous.
"She can do it," her mother would insist, "I mean look at her! She's thin and beautiful, and has the perfect personality."
Grace had absolutely no idea what this selection idea was about, but found herself a little interested when her mom complimented her.
Then, her mother sent in the application and the most beautiful picture of Grace there was. It was of her walking home from school with the sun shining brightly behind her.
Grace was surprised when she was notified that she had been selected.

Growing up as a daughter of a famous man had some major impacts on Leah's personality. She learned to spend time alone, as her father was never at home. She grew up being very humble because once people found out about her father, they could never stop talking about it. She's very loyal to her true friends as they were so hard to find. Most of her "friends" only were nice to her so that they could meet her father. The one trait that didn't come about as a result of her father was her natural inclination to work hard. That came from her mother.

Harry Oswald, Leah's father, had a whole life story before his daughter got entered in the selection. He was a famous actor, having starred in dozens of award-winning films. He was rich, powerful, and loved by the masses. What else could he need? As it turns out, a wife.

Harry met Janet at a movie release. She was a major donor to the production studio and was there as a guest. Harry and Janet talked for quite a long while after the movie had been shown. They started dating, and got married 4 years later.

Some say that Harry's marriage had only been a publicity stunt. After all, he hadn't gotten a major role in any movies lately. His fans were starting to die down. Whether or not those rumors are true, he didn't truly love Janet. They were simply fond of one another.

Soon into Harry's marriage, Janet started to want children. Harry didn't protest, seeing as the family had such a large staff of maids, butlers, cooks, and nannies. If he really tried, he might not ever have to see the children. His one condition with choosing to have kids was that they had at least 2 boys. When those boys were born, no more children should come after.

Lucky for Janet, it took quite a while to get those 2 boys. The first born was Abigail, a lovely young girl. The next was Beatrice and Bridget, the first set of twins. 1 year later, Madison and Morgan were born. Finally, she had the first boy; Harry Jr. After that came triplet girls: Leah, Ella, and Anna. One more girl was born, Charlotte. At this point, Harry was a bit exasperated. So many girls and only one boy! He could hardly keep track of them. Sick of running into toddlers around the house, he agreed that one boy was enough.

Leah grew up with a huge family. Because her father was so rich and famous though, he was hardly ever around. Her mother was always busy with one of the other children. Leah learned to become solitary. She grew to dislike loud, noisy events. She dreamed of one day becoming a 3. This way, she could sell books and do what she wanted.

When Leah was 19, Ella, Anna, Charlotte, and herself all received letters to participate in the selection. Leah didn't particularly care for the prince, but entered anyways. On the night that the girls were announced, she was in her room, reading a novel. Suddenly, screams erupted downstairs. Leah walked down carefully, expecting the worst. Her mother and sisters looked at her joyfully. "You were picked!" cried out Abigail. That was the beginning of a whole new stage in her life.

Alex is how I might say, anti bull-crap. She doesn't like people and unlike most of the girls there she doesn't want to be there. She is amazing at acting though, and often acts bubbly and kind to the media because of the rules. When alone, she's cold and unforgiving. But most of her personality is just an act. She is afraid of getting hurt so she makes sure people hate her so that she won't have to go through pain. Secretly she is nice and sweet and really just wants to be loved.

Her history is kind of... odd. For most of her life she lived with her mother who always took care of her no matter how poor they were. Alex helped her out by faking her age and getting a job. Even though it was only her and her mom it was hard. And then her mom screwed up and got pregnant. Alex couldn't have been more pissed, but that was when the time came. And she was accepted into the Selection. The only reason she went was so she could support her family.
