Kevin war little armer as he fought large fluffy wolves. He didn't have a choice: he was a man in the kingdom, so he had to fight. Woman and children stated home, apart from a few woman shoulders.
Alice rushed to the place the girl said the fight was at. She didn't know why but she had a bad feeling. The cold wind stung her cheeks as she ran and when she neared, she hid behind a tree, surveying her surroundings about any evidence of the fight.
Kevin heard someone enter the war grounds and wondered what idiot would come here. He broke a branch off a tree and used his confusion gift on some wolves before hitting them with the branch; hard enough to knock them out, but not hard enough to kill them.
Alice ears picked up sounds near her and she looked in that direction, hoping it wasn't anyone she knew. Her eyes landed on a figure that looks just like Kevin's and her eyes widened. Squinting her eyes, she got closer, hiding in trees as she did so. She cursed when she realized it really was him. What the heck was he doing here?
Kevin breathed heavily and looked around before slipping into the darkness. He kept an ear out for wolves and vampires alike. Kevin ended up next to Alice, "what are you doing here!?" He whispered, out of breath and surprised she was here.
She looked at him incredulously.
"I should be asking you that question." she whisper shouted and glanced back at the wolves who looked confused.

He frowned, "I don't have a choice," he whispered sternly, "this isn't your fight, Alice," he hissed.
She bit her lip in frustration.
"I know but why? Why are you risking your life here?" Alice asked. She didn't have a clue as to what was happening and why Kevin was fighting.
"I know but why? Why are you risking your life here?" Alice asked. She didn't have a clue as to what was happening and why Kevin was fighting.
"Because I'm a vampire. This is my war. The king ordered all male vampires to fight for our king," he looked her face over, "I could be killed if I don't fight."
Alice frowned.
"But..." she trailed off, looking at him worriedly. She wanted to help him, at least help him by carrying some of his burdens but she's useless when it comes to fighting and Kevin won't allow her.
"I can't just leave you here."

"I can't just leave you here."
Kevin cupped her face on his hands, "I don't want you hurt." He would did if something happened to her.
Alice put her own hands on top of his and looked up at him.
"I don't you hurt either. Trust me. I just want to help you." she said softly.
"I don't you hurt either. Trust me. I just want to help you." she said softly.
"But if ether side sees you then their think the fairies are traitors and will drag them into this stupid ear too," he explained softly. He saw the sun coming up threw the trees, "today's fight is nearly over, I'll bring you home."
Alice could have done nothing but sigh and nod her head.
"Fine, but just be careful. I'll be ready to kick some butt when you need me." she smile weakly at him.
"Fine, but just be careful. I'll be ready to kick some butt when you need me." she smile weakly at him.
Kevin smiled back, "I know you would be," he kissed her gently before leading her away from the sene.
Alice just shook her head with a faint smile on her face as they walked back. She would tend to his wounds once they get back. Again. Then she remembered the little girl in her house.
"Hey, have you seen little children around when you fought with those werewolves?" she asked him nervously.

Alice bit her lip in worry.
"They're fine, right? Not hurt or anything?"
"They're fine, right? Not hurt or anything?"
She cursed and ran back to place where Kevin was fighting a while ago, leaving him in the dust as her heart sped with anxiety. Alice just couldn't leave those poor kids alone.
She just ignored him and ran straight back. Alice just wanted to make sure that the children were okay or else, she wouldn't be able to live with a clear conscience anymore. She stopped and looked around the place, barely missing the wolves who were now free from Kevin's illusions.
((Tis alright :)))
((Tis alright :)))
Kevin schooled her up, "stop, you'll get yourself killed," he hissed, "they sent human anymore."
Alice looked up at him helplessly.
"What? But..." she trailed off, still looking around.
"What? But..." she trailed off, still looking around.
"It's a war. They were turned and forced to help.." He felt bad that he couldn't help them, "how is that girl..?"
She just sighed in resignation.
"She's at home. Although she was really badly bruised." Alice said, a bit zoned out. How would she tell the girl that her friends are gone?

He nodded, just happy the girl was okay, "let's get you out of here before someone sees you." He threw her over his shoulder and started walking.
Alice squealed a bit at being hoisted on Kevin's shoulder.
"Hey, put me down!" she thrashed around, weakly punching his back.

He rolled his eyes at her and kept walking. It wasn't safe out here for ether of them. He walked to town and go her house.
Alice sighed in frustration and let herself be carried away. But not before slapping his butt harshly.
"That's for treating me like some kind of doll." she grumbled.
She wasn't exactly fond of being carried by some person.

He smiled and changed positions, carrying her bridal style now, "careful, you might anger the big bad vampire."
She huffed and crossed her arms, glaring up into Kevin's eyes.
"And I don't care." Alice said confidently, knowing that he would never do anything to hurt her.

He smiles softly, but keeps his eyes forward, "such a brave girl," he half praised, half teased.
Alice tried to keep the smile from showing on her face but failed, showing a grin.
"But that still doesn't change the fact that I'm capable of walking on my own feet."
"But that still doesn't change the fact that I'm capable of walking on my own feet."
He rolled his eyes, "and have you run off again? No thanks. I'm tired enough without having to chaise you around," he said gently.
She just shook her head at the stubborn man carrying and tightened her hold on his neck.
"I hope I'm not to heavy for you. Especially when I've been eating a lot lately." Alice said a bit weakly, attempting to have her feet back on the ground but knew it was hopeless. So she just rested her head on Kevin's chest and sighed contentedly, a sigh of content escaping her lips.

Kevin looked down at her and smiled softly, "your still as light as a feather to me," he whispers gently. Vampires and werewolves were the strongest of the creatures. He sighed with relief when they got out of the forest, his racing heart slowly slowed down. He hated war, "you said one of the girls made it to your place?"
Alice nodded, opening her eyes and got out of his hold to the ground. It was safe enough anyway.
"Yeah. Let's hurry up. Who knows what happening back there?" she said a bit hurriedly and picked up pace.

He nodded and fallowed her back to her house. He missed her so much, did she miss him? He shook the thought, it wasn't the time.
((Cont. At her place?))
