Barbara "Cookie" wrote: "Sorry you are unable to read I have the same problem when it come to reading so now I use audio book or text-to-read on Kindle. But thanks 'Cookie,' it will get better I Hope!!😵
Oh Veda! I'm sorry you can't read right now. I hope things work out for you soon. I'm lucky, one of my favorite places to listen to audio books is work. I drowns out the cubicle chatter and I get more work done.
Just got my audio version. Still miss the 'old' opening music...at least Susan Ericksen is still reading/performing!
Got a little preoccupied yesterday and stopped at Chapter 9 last night but I'm about to finish the rest tonight
Seth, this will become a spoiler zone on September 8 when you may discuss the book openly. My apologies for not making that clear.
Until then, please use the spoiler feature.

I blew through this one (as usually happens). I love Bella and Eve! Now I’m listening to it on audible while I clean the house.
I hope to have my new kindle on Wednesday can’t wait. I using my old Kindle white paper to read my old books
I'm number 47 in line at the library so it's going to be a while. I'll have to read an earlier one to hold me over.
Just finished Vendetta In Death. I don’t know if I like it or not so I am going to rereads it next week. Right now I will give it 3 stars.
I finished this and found it interesting, especially its connection with the current climate around the behavior of predatory men in power. Robb did a great job of contrasting Lady Justice’s brand of retribution versus what Eve was able to do in the courts.
The last 25% of the book was exciting and I enjoyed the police procedurals, particularly how the work was distributed out to her entire team.

I finish reading this book. It is a little different from other books in this series. However, I still gave it five stars. I had to laugh at one point in the book (view spoiler)

I had to laugh at one point in the book [spoilers removed]"I'm wondering if the birth will be in Golden novel since there is a pediatrician murdered or the fall 2020 novel. I'm sure there will be plenty of laughs either way.
I can’t imagine it would because the series timeline moves too slowly for her to be at 9 months already.
Jonetta wrote: "I can’t imagine it would because the series timeline moves too slowly for her to be at 9 months already."You're right. I noticed pediatrician and didn't think about Dallas time.
I guarantee you that everybody might be a little less squeamish the second time around as opposed to what happened the first time.
Seth wrote: "I guarantee you that everybody might be a little less squeamish the second time around as opposed to what happened the first time."I don't know Seth; something will happen to make Dallas and/or Roarke turn green.
Idk about this book... we know who did it and even eve had a pretty good idea who did it. It just wasn’t enough mystery to it. The dudes in this gosh... (they were bad dudes...) The book made me wonder tho if corporal punishment was on the books would their be less crime?
Ladyhawke wrote: "Idk about this book... we know who did it and even eve had a pretty good idea who did it. It just wasn’t enough mystery to it. The dudes in this gosh... (they were bad dudes...) Obviously Nora didn't want to come out a hypocrite by breaking one of her rules for this series, but sometimes you have to break some rules if you feel that it doesn't work. Just my opinion on it.

She calls herself Lady Justice. And once she has chosen a man as her target, she turns herself into a tall blonde or a curvaceous redhead, makes herself as alluring and seductive as possible to them. Once they are in her grasp, they are powerless.
The first victim is wealthy businessman Nigel McEnroy. His company’s human resources department has already paid out settlements to a couple of his young victims—but they don’t know that his crimes go far beyond workplace harassment. Lady Justice knows. And in one shocking night of brutality, she makes him pay a much steeper price.
Now Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, are combing through the evidence of McEnroy’s secret life. His compulsive need to record his misdeeds provides them with a wide range of suspects, but the true identity of Lady Justice remains elusive. It’s a challenging case, made even more difficult by McEnroy’s widow, who reacts to the investigation with fury, denial, and threats. Meanwhile, Lady Justice’s criminal crusade is escalating rapidly, and if Eve can’t stop this vigilante, there’s no telling how much blood may be spilled…
