Sonya Rumancek is an extremely intelligent woman who presents a stoic, rather uncommunicative demeanor at all times. Earlier in her life, Sonya was a much friendlier person, prone to playing pranks on her friends and generally happier, though still rather quiet. The events of Transylvania left Sonya emotionally scarred and caused her to become the rigid, somewhat withdrawn person she is today. Sonya is fiercely loyal to her Fraction, and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Sometimes her methods appear harsh but this is due to her dedication to protecting those in her charge.

1887, Transylvania. Sonya was a Romanian gypsy who had lost her lover to a Wolf Therian. She had hunted him down to the mountains of Transylvania only to wind up in the clutches of a female Sanguine Vampire. She had learned a few things about Awakened by the Inquisition, who had taught her how to hunt down Awakened despite their prejudice to the Romani people. The Vampire toyed with her for nights, tormenting her and trying to feed off of her. Sonya put an end to her plans as she beheaded the Vampire. She followed the Werewolf's trail to an old castle on the mountain. There she had a horrible revelation. A terrible plot twist.
The Wolf who she was hunting was not the one who had killed her lover, Mikhail, but Mikhail himself, turned by a bite. She ran into his arms as he shifted back, explaining that until now, he was unable to return to his human form. She embraced him with a kiss and vowed to never leave him again - and if they should get separated, they'd always find each other, not matter what. But then, Viktor, the sire of the Vampire woman Sonya had slain, appeared from the shadows and sank his fangs into her neck, draining her. She "died" in Mikhail's arms. Comatose from a failed Turning, she later would Awaken during the late 19th Century. She joined the Illuminati and rose through the ranks.
She became addicted to Vampire blood, as she commits the Diablerie to strengthen her own power. To this day, she seeks out Viktor, Mikhail, and Lucian - the Wolf that turned Mikhail. She has made serious enemies with the Thule leaders and has been a thorn in Moretti's side for years. She longs to rule over the entire Illuminati Fraction. Not many trust her as she was Turned - although she could have been a Sleeping Potential who had Awakened by Viktor's attempt to Turn her - and that she once worked with the Inquisition. She exploits the Fraction's resources for her own goals.

( History ) Isabella was born October 17 at midnight. She had a great life at first yet life had plans. Her father and mother seemed happy, but in truth Clare was having an affair behind Falcon's back. When he found out, Isabella's father packed up and left. Soon after, Sal proposed to Clare. She was five at the time, and was heartbroken when her father left.
Her mother and Sal were soon married but that never stopped her stepfather. Sal was pigheaded and got what he wanted, which was the little Izzy. Sal had turned out to be a child molester, two years had gone by with no word from Isabella's father. She was forced to cook and clean as her mother and stepfather would get drunk and high. In school she was backwards but was a great student, and excelled best out of all her classmates.
Isabella's mother, Clare was out waitressing late one night and left her daughter with Sal. It wasn't the best idea but what choice did she have. Sal became very drunk, and not just drunk angry drunk along with being high. He wanted the seven year old and would let nothing stand in his way. It was that late night in which Sal has raped Isabella, and stolen her innocence. It was the next day that her mother found out and call her a little whore. In the years to follow she would be physically and mentally abused in several harsh ways.
Most of Isabella's fears formed during these years. Fear of confinement because she was locked in closets and basements. Her fear of happiness developed because she thought she didn't deserve it. Her fear of death because she thought she was going to die every time. Her last fear was of her stepfather and mother for the physical and mental abuse.
It had been seven years since that night, yet Isabella still has nightmares about the traumatizing event. Clare and Sal hit rock bottom, since most of their money going towards drugs and booze. All their house payments and other fees were well overdue. They turned to Isabella and started to sell her off to men for money. The young teen tried hard to stay strong and promised herself an escape. When she was sold off she was worth a lot more to child molester yet it sickened her.
When Isabella turned fifteen, she started her addiction on drugs. She wanted to die, and badly at that. She would shoot up on heroin and smoke pot. Neither Sal nor her mother knew about the addiction or the suicide attempts. It was hard to understand that for her death was only option. Isabella saw it as a way to freedom.
A year into her addiction, things finally took a turn for the worse. Isabella died by an overdose on heroin one day after school. Both Sal and Clare had taken a trip to Oregon, so she was home alone. Two hours had gone by when she woke up in her backyard naked and covered in mud. She couldn't recall what happened, but she decided best for her to leave. She took what was left of the money in the house and took a train to South Dakota.
After arriving in South Dakota, she found a old car that was for sale. The owner, an old man sold it to her cheap. This was when she started her journey to somewhere she could start new. As her traveling took awhile, she landed in Virginia. Coming to Venice she finally felt safe and settled in the town.
During Isabella's journey she pulled off the road to look at a map. She soon started to hear a soft whimper close to the car. She had gotten out and looked around to find a white timber wolf pup cover in mud and blood, as she looked to her left she seen a bigger wolf in a bear trap she knew it was dead by the looks of the limp body. The pup was about a month old. Isabella decided to take care of the pup, which eventually gave him the name of Ghost.
