Glad you liked it. I threw it together a few years back. I was in an H. P. Lovecraft mood late one evening. :)
Oh, the original (on one of my blogs) was a 6 part serial. It had illustrations, too.

That was fun (and it carries less baggage than Lovecraft's own writing). I have such mixed feelings about that guy. On one hand, awesome stories of eldritch horror. On the other, racist diatribes (http://nnedi.blogspot.com/2011/12/lov...). Product of his time, perhaps. Too bad he didn't have access to the talisman....
Thank you, Kathleen. Glad you enjoyed it.
Well, I'm definitely no Lovecraft; regarding writing abilities. As far as his views on race; I had no idea. But yes, a man of his times. That may have had a lot to do with it.

Of all the books and stories I've read in my lifetime, I had never read any Lovecraft until just recently. I have a volume of all his works and just started it last week. It's interesting so far.

Yes, I noticed that on your profile page earlier. I've read that book. Lovecraft is a favorite of mine. His stories are wonderfully dark and foreboding.
As a bonus to folks here at Scaredy Cats, here's an audio rendition of Lovecraft's The Outsider performed by a friend of mine, Paul Campbell.

Looking forward to reading that, Eric :-). I have it open in my browser for later. thank you for the audio link. I mostly listen to lovecraft on audio on youtube. makes my boring work going by faster.

Will I promised somewhere around here to post a little story for Halloween. I didn't intend to post it quite this early, but what the hey...
This story is a bit too long to post outright in this format, so I'm posting just a link to my story. It is in .pdf format, so you shouldn't have any troubles viewing it.
Here you go...
