Jane (PS) | 24665 comments 1. Introduce yourself to your team. Let your team members know where you are from. This is a great to know when themes are announced and when team-mates can expect other members to post their book choices.

2. Team Captain - reserve a couple of posts in this thread tracking your team's book selection and completion. (Alternatively they could convert a chat comment to the tracking post/s.)

3. Name your team. Using this round's theme of International Awards, come up with an award from anywhere in the world for your team name. We are an open/public group with no age limit, so please make sure any chosen name is smart, not smutty ;)

Please PM your name to Jane(PS) by early Wednesday 4 September.

4. If you have a private profile, please 'friend' your team-mates. This is really important, because without this, your team-mates can't see your shelves to select a books under option 2.

5. Please post your book selections/completions in the format provided below. (This format is also posted in both the Q&A and Sign-Up threads.) We need to know the week that each book corresponds to, the page numbers, and how the book qualifies including names to lists/shelves (where applicable), etc. I can't stress this enough. When in doubt - link it*!

* don't link to your review in your completion post - reviews in your completion posts should be included in full within that post.

You don't want to start reading a book and then find it doesn't meet the requirements because some information (eg page count or theme link) was missing from your original post.

I will be monitoring this and your book will not be considered complete until I am satisfied that your selection and completion posts comply with the format rules of the challenge.

Remember - you can ONLY change your book selection in the week that the theme is called.

6. You MUST check in with your team each week, ideally once the theme is announced. Please let your team know if you expect to have spotty communication or are on holidays or having an operation.

7. When you post the completion of your book, you must post a review; enough for us to know you have actually read the book. Please don't link to a review. You must post the review in this thread.

8. Re-reads are allowed but you can't read the same book twice within this challenge.

9. There is no prize for the winning team - bragging rights only :)

10. Each week, the theme will be announced in the Q&A Annoucement thread. The full list of themes announced during this round will be maintained in msg 1 of that thread.

The Rule on the Pass Option
* Each team can only have ONE member using their pass each week.
* Each member can only use that pass once each 5 weeks.
* This means that one or two team members (dependent upon the size of your team) will miss using a pass in each 5 week block.
* No-one can use the pass option in the last week of the challenge.
* In the final week if Option 2 is used, members must select their book from another team. This will be advised in the week 11 announcement.

Jane (PS) | 24665 comments Key selection and completion post information. You must have ALL elements in your book posts.

The format for selection posts Option 1:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
How the book qualifies - please link or name the qualifying bookshelf/list where applicable (link if possible).
If the theme is based off the bookcover or a letter in the title etc, please just repeat the theme.

The format for selection posts Option 2:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
Name of the team-member, their star rating, the date they read the book.

Format for completion posts:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Rating (1-5)
Review

Please DO NOT CHAT in these selction/completion posts. It needs to be super clear.

If you 'waffle' about your decided book - please REPOST your selection once you decide. DO NOT go back and edit your waffling post.

Nicole P | 3200 comments Hey Team,

My name is Nicole and am so looking forward to this round of PtP! I am from South Africa but currently live and work in the Middle East. I read most sub-genres of romance, except for historical. Only do so when I have to (I read A LOT of them for BTC2).

To start off introduce yourself and if you are creative or a boss at googling stuff, suggest team names :)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4212 comments Hey, everyone! It's a holiday weekend so people are trying to get in the last bit of summer before school starts on Tuesday!!

Anyway, I'm Sassafrass, I'm from the East Coast, USA right outside of Philadelphia. I have done every Pass the Parcel round since it started. It's so fun and I'm looking forward to playing again.

I read every type of romance but my preferences are MF contemporary romances (of all types) and urban fantasy. If I had to chose subgenre I'm not a fan of it would be Christian/Inspirational, but I've found some books that I've really enjoyed so I try to keep an open mind no matter what.

I'm crap at figuring out team names, so I hope someone is better at it than me!

message 17: by Nicole (new)

Nicole P | 3200 comments Welcome Sassafrass!

Totally forgot its Labor Day weekend in the US. Hope you're having a great time!

message 18: by CB (new)

CB (cb33) | 1312 comments Hi everyone! Yes, it’s Labor Day weekend, so lots going on. ☺️ I live in Northeast Ohio, and this is my 1st Pass the Parcel, looking forward to it. My favorite genres to read are Urban Fantasy, Paranormal, and some Contemporary, although in that space I tend to read mostly mafia, sports, and MC romances.

I will think on potential team names to see if I can come up with anything.

message 19: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24665 comments Well I had no idea it was a long weekend over there - so that will explain some of the absences! *phew*

Might still PM the missing folk tonight so that we aren't too far behind for Wednesday if we are ready to start then.

message 20: by Erica (new)

Erica | 55 comments Good morning team! I’m Erica and I live in Central Ohio, originally from northeast Ohio. I am fairly new to all of these challenges so bear with me. Just know I looooove to read! Mostly fictional romance, a little bit of thrillers with twists, and sometimes other genres if the book catches me in the beginning. My kids are back in school already so my child-cation has started already! I look forward to reading alongside y’all! 😊

message 21: by Nicole (new)

Nicole P | 3200 comments Welcome CB and Erica! This is a really easy and fun challenge to do. One book a week and the template posts for selection and completion posts are very easy to follow. Also Jane has been so kind as to give us listopia's for some of tasks. I look forward to playing with you!

message 22: by Ris (new)

Ris | 485 comments Hello, everyone~

(Sorry, also coming back from a much-needed Labor Day break.) My name is Chris and I currently live in Northeast Ohio, as well! (There are a ton of Ohioians in this group!) This is my second PTP (I think our theme was musical that round??) so I'm glad to be back. I just finished BTC2 and I can say this is a lot more laid back, haha.

I am currently in a paranormal/urban fantasy and new adult romance reading binge. However, I also enjoy historical, erotica, and sports (only when the female is the athlete) romances as well.

Team names, hmm. Are we looking for something puny? Like "Aca-do-me Awards" or "Not Your Grammy's Read Award" (are those too smutty?) or just like any international award name? Here's a wiki list of international awards.

message 23: by Ris (new)

Ris | 485 comments So I took a look at some of the other team names and they seem puny in nature. So maybe: "Re-word Me" or "Trophy Readers"? I'll post others tonight as I think of them!

message 24: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4212 comments I love Aca-do-me! LOL

message 25: by Nicole (new)

Nicole P | 3200 comments Welcome Chris! You're definitely better at coming up with team names than I am! I thought something linked to reading would be good like Re-word Me. What does everyone else think?

message 26: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24665 comments We kick off tomorrow.

Please choose between these two options that had some traction;
* Aca-do-me Award
* Re-word Me

so that we can get underway :)

message 27: by Erica (new)

Erica | 55 comments I like them both but if I had to choose...Re-word me.

message 28: by CB (new)

CB (cb33) | 1312 comments I like both team names, but probably leaning more towards Aca-Do-Me Awards

message 29: by Amanda A (new)

Amanda A | 769 comments I also like both, but I'll go with Re-word Me.

message 30: by Nicole (new)

Nicole P | 3200 comments And I'll go for Re-word Me :) I'll let Jane know.

This was really cute. A great second chance romance. I wasn't happy with Susannah for stringing along two men but in the end, one of the men totally deserved to be strung along as we was a pompous ass who really was a vindictive little brat when things didn't go his way.

I didn't realize that this was Marie Force's debut book until reading the ending acknowledgements and it made a lot of sense since it was much more PG than I am use to with her. I liked it all the same though. I really loved the epilogue and the extra epilogue. They were awesome and I loved being able to see how Ryan and Susannah's life progressed and how they got their HEA.

I thought this was a cute and sexily written friends-to-lovers romance. Libby is greatly concerned about her awkwardness with men and asks her long-time best man friend Justin to help her out in the sex and dating department. They try to initially be friends with benefits but feelings quickly develop. Loved the fact that Justin, although a hot hockey player, was also into crocheting like the heroine - I thought that was sweet. I liked the humor between the two main characters as well, and their chemistry was hot. Liked the book, and plan on reading more in this series

This was a good prequel to the Fallen Crest High series. I've seen so many reviews come up on my timeline and it's been one of those series that I say I'll start soon. This prequel looks at the beginning the Legends Mason and Logan. For high school kids they really were...busy. My head couldn't compute them being high schoolers and the things they got up to. Their home lives were totally crap with shitty, shitty parents.

Not sure I'm ready to read book 1 just yet.
