David and I are starting a buddy read for Dark Triumph, the 2nd book in the series starting now! Everyone is welcome to join!

There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

Okay, I just started today and I"m up to page 75 or 19%. I have sinus headache so I was having trouble concentrating, and why I'm reading so slow ;) So far I'm really into the read though, and Sybella's relatives DISGUST me. Poor poor girl!

Agreed! They are AWFUL! Hate them all. Julian is a terrible creature of a brother. Disgusting!

I'm up to 56%, sorry got some reading time today so moved ahead a bit. (view spoiler)[I felt a little bit like her romp to safety was a little too easy. They took down so many soldiers all on their own with one of them seriously injured and they didn't sustain any more injuries? I mean, I know they are the best of the best, but...oh well, I can suspend disbelief for a while because I'm really enjoying the read! (hide spoiler)]

I read a little more last night, up to page 107 (28%) Stopped right when (view spoiler)[ Sybella had just attempted the rescue of the knight, and he bopped her on the head. (hide spoiler)] I REALLY wanted to find out what happened next but was too tired, had to get to bed!

LOL! I know the feeling, I've been wanting to keep reading but can't keep my eyes open :) I didn't have a chance to read today, so I'm still at the same place.

Finished! Sorry Jenny, I raced to the end yesterday, because omg there are some crazy surprises I never saw coming!

Okay I think I'm up to 52% right now. David what you said above (view spoiler)[ About their escape, I agree completely--there may have been some reason for it, but it was also interesting, how she was comparing herself and the Beast in her head. I have to say, I LOVE the Beast!!!

Agreed, Ismae is fantastic, so likeable. And Beast is awesome, such an easy guy to root for. It didn't bother me too much, it was just something I noticed that sort of made those scenes lose a lot of suspense because I already knew they'd kick butt and get through unscathed :) But they were still fun!

I have no idea how this will all play out at this point, but can't wait to find out! Really loving this read!

Awesome! Yeah, that was great, completely unexpected and changed the whole nature of the ending :)

I finished! I loved it :) The ending was so different than the whole rest of the book. My biggest gripe is how (view spoiler)[ Julian came out at the end. I'm sorry, but no way am I able to forgive him that easily. Although, I am happy he did stand up for Sybella FINALLY and did basically die for her. Really the least he could do IMO!

I DO like how Sybella came out at the end. She completely changed, from basically hating herself and everyone else in the world to forgiveness and love. I loved her transformation, although it did happen rather quickly. I guess a visit from your God might do that ;) LOVED Beast, he was easily my favorite character in this one. I had no issues with him whatsoever the whole book! (hide spoiler)]

Really cool read, awesome ending, and can't wait to read Annith's story! I think it comes out in November.
