Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn- the movie depicted exactly what happened in the book. No extra Hollywood here- the book was on the NYT Bestseller list for 91 weeks for a reason! So good!

The Princess Bride. It brought the characters to life in a way that inspires many to read the book AFTER watching the movie.
