There was never any doubt in Ani's mind that she was a witch, but it was still nice to get her letter as confirmation. While a magical family, the Boyles live in a suburb of Dublin among a Muggle community. Up until this point, all of Ani's friends have been Muggles, so she's looking forward to making friends in the magical community.

The Phoenix feather in the core provides great range of magic, while Demiguise hair gives a boost to Transfiguration and also to other, more subtle arts. This wand is attracted to independent, quick-witted witches and wizards who are light of touch, though this wand will not be easily won over by any.

Personal History: Jessica's mother Grace was a witch while her father David was a Muggle. Her father bailed on Grace, not wanting any children at the moment, when he found out she was pregnant with Jess. When she was born her mother was proud and grateful. Jess was very close to her mother. When Jess was six her mother was diagnosed with cancer. The doctor had given Grace seven months to live, but she pulled through to live two years. When her mother died she was placed in the caring hands of her father, David. She is currently living with her father for the time being, but because she was accepted at Hogwart's her uncle, Kurtis is helping out. After Kurtis's sister's death he tried to help out as much as he could. David refused to help Jess with getting school supplies so Kurtis is helping her, because he had no idea what everything was for nor why she needed it.

Description: Jess's wand is just shy of ten inches in length and is made of hazel, the core containing five and a half silver Ramora scales. This is a wand sensitive to the emotional state of its master and works best for a witch or wizard who both understands and can manage their own feelings. This wand may absorb the negative energy of its owner and discharge it unpredictably when handled by someone else. It is a very loyal wand; it often wilts (expels all its magic) upon its master's death and requires a new casing for the core if one hopes to still use it. In the hands of the skillful, hazel wands are capable of performing outstanding feats of magic. Interestingly enough, wands containing Ramora scales are frequently found in the hands of those with the Sight. This wand, reasonably springy, is fairly adaptable, so long as its owner stays emotionally stable. This wand is especially attuned to water. It has the ability to detect underground water and will produce silvery, tear-shaped puffs of smoke upon passing over concealed springs or wells. Likewise, Ramora scales augment any water-based spells. Additionally, it should perform especially well regarding potions and healing spells.

His sister, Nika, is usually out and about. She's always on the move. Curk, his grandfather, being from Slytherin, is mischievous and usually gets both himself, and Laylan in trouble. Laylan is also a smooth talker and charmer. He likes to read stories about the wizard world. Curk told him most of the famous names when he was a kid. It's always a bond the two have had. As he was enrolled and accepted to Hogwart's his father decided for once to step in and help Laylan.

Description: Laylan's is a simple wand, golden-brown in it's color, with perhaps just a hint of red. Like most wands, this is varnished rather than dyed or painted. Supple, this wand is fairly willing to change and adapt, so long as it's owner is. This wand is attracted to witches and wizards with high aims and ideals, who are of the more detached persuasion. It is poorly-suited for Dark magic, though otherwise its range is quite capable. The witch or wizard chosen by this wand will be well-loved and long-lived, and may likely find themselves with the peculiar ability to converse with other, non-human magical beings in their native language. While it may occasionally act of its own accord, this wand will, while initially proving hard to win over, prove reliable.

She grew up adoring her older sister, with whom she shared everything with, and loved and cared for by two hard-working parents, who weren't lucky enough to be in a high socioeconomic position. The two Reillys were always working, Isaiah being an aspiring chef and Adelaide as a secretary, they were a couple of big dreams who had sacrificed everything for their daughters.

Likewise, should she mishandle the wand, the Unicorn hair will very likely die. Still, it is a faithful wand, and will—in all likelihood—cleave to Callie for her lifetime. This is not a wand that will perform well the Dark Arts. Graphorn skin grants the wand great defensive capabilities, having the ability to deflect most offensive spells. This wand will produce consistent magic, with little risk of experiencing blockages or fluctuations. This wand is capable of great subtlety and artistry hardly seen elsewhere

They made a bet of who would win, and when Romania won against Scotland, Nathan invited Kseniya for a Butterbeer, slowly forming a strong friendship that would then turn into marriage. The couple, both reporters from "The Prophet" decided to settle in London, though they kept strictly to the magical realm. Alfie was the last kid of a passionate family who always seemed to be doing something. The children have a mixed Russian and Scottish heritage, but always have balanced it. Alfie has always teamed up with the eldest, Nikolai, while his other siblings, Victoria and Benedict, seemed to share a greater bond. Always getting in trouble and always in pursuit of the next adventure, Alfie has grown up curious and extremely rowdy.

Description: A long, slender wand, this will prove rather stubborn, as may its owner. It chooses witches or wizards based on their independence and individuality. Mysterious loners are some witches and wizards who might attract the attention of this wand, but the most important (and essential) quality in the owner is their independent spirit. This is a wand that craves creativity. While stiff, it will easily pick up new methods and spells. Interestingly enough, owners of pine wands are known to live long lives. This unembellished wand is capable of a great range of magic, including non-verbal (which it is extremely sensitive to). That aside, it may even act out on its own from time to time.
