An epidemic has been running loose through the streets of tokyo for years. Several sighting of ghouls have been reported, most involved in crime and murder cases, causing mass fear and paranoia among the residents in the area. But are they honestly all the monsters that the news portrays they are? Many hide among humans, almost impossible to tell the two apart and wish to have normal lives, though they are being hunted down one after another by the CCG. In response, a violent resistance given the name the Aogiri tree has been formed to counter the humans as the two clash fiercely, going through even innocent bystanders to eliminate the other side. Any hope of peace between the two seem distance in the war between the humans and ghouls, though a small spark of hope still seems to linger in select few from each side.
Factions:
CCG: (Commission of Counter Ghouls) A government run building with investigators in charge of researching ghoul related cases and crimes. It is made up of all humans armed with quinque weapons and fight ghouls. There base is located in the 1st Ward.
Anteiku: A small cafe in the 20th Ward. It provides aid and food for ghouls in need and collects food for ghouls, normally suicide victims. The 20th Ward is considered docile in comparison to other wards.
Aogiri Tree: A resistance of ghouls that target those members of the CCG. It resides mainly in the 11th ward though a lot of the members seem to be from the 24th ward.
