A place full of beautiful plants, perfect for a walk

Mishabeth strode up, proud that she had been the first invited. Her heels clinked on the sidewalk. She was clearly very confident, and held her chin high. She sat on the bench, smoothing down her skirt. She would have to be kind to the prince.

Zachary had been waiting impatiently for the clock to chime noon in his bedroom. You could, more or less say that he was excited to meet one of his Selected girls. The one he had chosen first- Mishabeth, seemed to be an interesting character. He was currently taking a a seat on the bench next to the girl who was Mishabeth. She was pretty, he observed.

She turned to the sound of footsteps, and saw the handsome Prince Zachary. She smiled, standing up, and curtsying. Bowing might make her seem like she was trying to be revealing. Maybe she was, but still. The prince was here, so she'd have to have a total character change. "Your Highness. It's so nice to finally meet you. May I say, you look even better in really life, and I was practically head over heels for you just seeing you on the television."

Queen Juliet walked into the garden, wondering how the girls were all getting along and just what her son would think of them when he finally met them. Was he as nervous as she was? Probably more so, this was his future wife after all, whomever she may be.

((Is she near enough that they would see her?))

(How far into the garden are they? She just entered it)

((I suppose they are about central.))

(Then probably not. It's a castle so I imagine it's a very large garden.)

Alfred had mad his way to the entrance of the garden. He then made his way through searching for her majesty. Until he found her, "your majesty." He called to her.

The Queen turned and smiled when she saw Alfred. "That was quick Alfred, I hope you got the girls all settled."

((@Whatever: I'm sorry again, I haven't checked this group in forever!!))

He smirked, people always said he looked good. But he wasn't vain so he took it as any ordinary person would take it. "Thank you, my dear, I must say you are simply enchanting yourself." Not even a lie, truly. The lady was indeed very beautiful.

Mishbeth smiled, looking down shyly with her hair falling by her face. "Oh thank you, Your Highness," she said, looking up. "I must say that I am so very honoured to meet you."

Alfred nodded, "Yes, of course your majesty." He walked alongside her.

Queen Juliet nodded in approval and walked along the outermost ring of the garden. "You've been with me for a long time Alfred." She commented.

"Of course. Ever since you became Queen." He added in.

"As am I." Zachary said blandly. "Now, do tell me some of your interests, you seem like a very interesting lady." He said, gently taking her hand. lightly.

Mishabeth smiled, looking at their linked hands. "Well I do very much enjoy music. Listening to it, of course. Give an instrument and I would surely destroy your eardrums," sh gave a small smile. "I also enjoy modeling, as that is my career."

"Well, we must do something about your musical abilities, I'm sure you'll have many tasks in which musical instrument playing is required." He commented, offering a small smile. "Do you have any siblings?"

"I suppose I can sing, and no. I'm an only child."

The Queen smiled and lapsed into silence as she remembered the first time she had met her guard. She could almost laugh at how afraid she had been of him. Of course back then she had only been in the Selection, she hadn't actually won it yet.

"My parents grew up here and when the selection had started, I was only fifteen probably. Would you like to see my Panther?" He questioned her.

"I must have you sing something for me then, one day. I'm sure you have a beautiful voice."

"Your panther?" Asked the Queen in surprise. She didn't think she'd heard anything about a panther before.

"Yes, my panther." Alfred looked around and whistled. "Black Knight is his name." He informed the queen.

Black Kniht who was sleeping in one of the trees jumped down and ran all the way to Alfred.

"When did you get a panther?" She asked, looking at the beast curiously. She wasn't afraid of it though it she had happened upon Black Knight by herself she certainly would have been.

"I had him since I was little." He answered her truthfully.

"Where did you get a panther?" The Queen asked, trying not to laugh.

"My mom and dad found him when he was a cub and then gave him to me. Black Knight and I have grown up with each other." Alfred answered again truthfully.

"I'm surprised previous King and Queen allowed a panther to be brought here with a guard." Juliet said.

"I was surprised as well, but they told me that if I kept Black Night out of the way, then I would be fine." He added in.

She supposed the panther would be a great deterrent for raiding parties and nodded in understanding.

Black knight purred against the Queen's dress.

"So your majesty, you are okay with this right?" He questioned her.

"Of course I am. How could I be upset with such a well mannered panther?" Juliet said with a smile and stooped to pat Black Knight's head gently.

"If I am not around, just whistle and he will come." He informed the queen.

Juliet nodded and laughed. "I have a personal guard and a personal knight? What a lucky woman I am." She said with a warm smile. It was nice to be so unguarded around Alfred. Around so many other people in the palace she had to remain poised and confident and calm. Sometimes it was fun to get riled up or be teasing.

"If you need a laugh, I can laugh with you and you can tease me some." He informed her.

(I meant it not he... typo on my part in case my last sentence didn't make sense >.<)

"Thank you Alfred." Juliet said, touched.

"It is my duty to protect and serve the Queen Juliet." He bowed.

She became less touched when he used her title in the third person and sighed. "Yes of course." She said and looked at Black Knight again.

Alfred looked up, "I am sorry your majesty. Did I upset you?" He questioned her again as Black Knight continued to purr against the queen's dress.

"You've done nothing but your job." She said, holding back another sigh.

"So you think the prince is enjoying himself?" Alfred questioned the queen.

"Probably not right now with so many girls arriving all to try and become his wife." The Queen said.

"Shall we continue on walking?" He gestured in front of them.

The Queen nodded, her good mood a little soured. She hadn't been born high in status and she missed having equals she wasn't related to. She slowly walked forward, careful not to hit Black Knight.

Black knight walked a little in front of them.

Alfred followed the queen silently hoping her mood would change.

"What do you think of me Alfred?" Juliet suddenly asked.

Alfred looked at her. "What do I think of you? Is that what you asked?"
