Yeah I heard aboutit last week, so many names bantered about. Suicide Squad has been getting a lot of looks at lately with a changing roster per mission.
As long as they don't dress Harley Quinn like a stripper clown or suddenly make Amanda Waller a thin 30 year old, I would watch a SS TV show.Of the list in the article, I'd vote an Atom show.
Though, I'd love if they just picked some weird DC character like Angel and the Ape or Space Cabbie.
Holy crap Travis, I thought I dated myself pretty often but Space Cabbie? Don't get me wrong, I used to love reading those stories. as a matter of fact I'm selling a lot of my old DC and Marvel comics and some of them I am re-reading like Strange Adventures and My Greatest Adventure with tales of Space Cabbie, Adam Strange and the Atomic Knights. But there are some characters that just cant make the transition to serious TV.
I suppose Angel and the Ape could do it, But its way too obscure.
If the Suicide Squad does make it to TV, it will be the thin Amanda Waller as per Arrow as per DC new 52. I vote for the thinner personally.
And as for Harley Quinn, who knows, I'm willing to bet that she will appear somewhere in not clown clothes but something provocative. Its how Amanda Connor is drawing her now and its how she was in the new 52 Suicide Squad.

An Atomic Knights TV show would be cool though.

Marvel has Guardians. That more obscure title paid-off...

I don't know that anyone has mentioned Blue Beetle. I think that Ted Kord was mentioned a time or two on Arrow.
I was thinking BB or the Question would make good shows.Though, most likely they'd go for the kid in the armor and the Rene Montoya versions rather than the classic originals.
James wrote: "I don't know that anyone has mentioned Blue Beetle. I think that Ted Kord was mentioned a time or two on Arrow."But it would be awesome if they worked Jaime Reyes (the new Blue Beetle) into the story...
Blue beetle and ted cord have been bantered about and I think it was mentioned that he will show up somewhere as well as booster gold was talked about.
Danielle The Book Huntress (Angels Weep For Goodreads) wrote: "I would love a Suicide Squad show."Me too, there's a lot of direction they can take with that one.
It would be pretty interesting if they did a Suicide Squad show since Arrow's been talking about them for a long time now.
If they keep it grounded in real-life, Im not sure how many of the real villains we will see unless they cross it over into The Flash as well. If it crosses over then we will see the costumed villains. but if they keep it relegated to Arrow, which I cant see them doing, then it will be totally grounded.
So, no Suicide Squad TV show, but tnt is doing a Titans pilot and there is talk of 'Krypton' prequel show.I've got mixed feelings about this idea, as it has a lot of potential, but I can easily see it being trainwreck, as you can't use as much Superman mythology as you can use Batman stuff in Gotham.
So, when do we get 'Paradise Island"?
An army of hot warrior women fighting monsters seems like a surefire money maker.

Paradise Island? I've never heard about this news...

That's because it's not a real thing. It exists only in the DVR of my mind...
A friend and I thought about what other DC heroes you could do a 'Smallville' version of and Paradise Island' was my idea.
He went with a young Bruce Wayne, so now that Gotham's a thing I guess I owe him a buck or something.

Hmmm....I wonder what's the next origin story DC will do? Possibly...a brand new Static Shock series?
Sounds like the betting pool is leaning towards Firestorm or the Atom.I'd love an Atom show, but I'm thinking the special effects would be pricey for TV.

Yeah! It would be pretty interesting to see Atom get his own TV series!
The thinking that's going on right now at the DC/CW offices are that since Brandon Routh's part as the head of Queen and the tech division, he has a pretty heady part inthe series, as well as getting a bigger heroic part while Oliver recoups, he would be the point man in getting a spin off show. The character of Firestorm was designed to be the secondary hero and sometimes on/off partner of The Flash.
Its not that far off base that he could get a spinoff show as well, but nothing anytime soon. Though the effects they have for Firestorm are pretty impressive.
So the latest is that there is a Team-Up show being discussed / developed that will include the Atom, Martin Stein (but not Ronnie Raymond?), Captain Cold, and Canary?? The actress Caity Lotz is mentioned, but if you are watching Arrow... hmm...

Its going to be made like the old DC title the Brave and the Bold comic. After they had figured out, back in the early 60's, that they could team up two of their under performing characters together against different familiar but not necessarily their own villains and make that popular, it became the norm to team up a top character, in that case it happened to be Batman with not so popular anymore characters like Metal Men and stuff. The producers are thinking that starting with the team they already have, Arrow and the Flash, that they cold team up firestorm and Flash or Arrow and Atom and then eventually introduce newer characters they probably already exist in their universe that we just haven't seen yet.
A live action version of 'Brave and the Bold'...?Now that I will watch.
Though, I probably should't get my hopes up waiting for the Detective Chimp episode.
A live action 'Showcase' series would be amazing, but so absurdly expensive, no network would touch it.I would settle for a live action 'Angel and the ape' series.
Jeff wrote: "hmm yeah maybe it would be angel and Grood lol"Well, Grodd is Sam's Grandpa, so he could guest star in an episode.
Maybe the Thanksgiving one?
There is some vague infomation out there about the other three characters... speculation is that on is either Booster Gold or Rip Hunter...
