Alfie pushed the door a little bit too hard when entering Ollivander's. He couldn't help but walk with long steps as he reached the counter, his siblings close behind him, laughing at his excitement. He'd had to see each and every one of the Lewis kids get their wands, and this time it was his turn. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of wand he would get. "I wouldn't hold too much hope," His sister Victoria said, a laugh hidden between her teeth. "You might get one with core of a toad, just like you!" She said before the kids bursted into laughter. Alfie stuck out his tongue as Jacob, the eldest, stood right behind him, holding his shoulders. "You'll be fine" He said, making a sign for the other siblings to stop. Alfie looked around the mountains of wands in their boxes, wandering around and ignoring his sneering siblings.

"Well, if it isn't the Lewises!" Angela exclaimed as she emerged from the back of the shop. "I thought it was about time for another one of you to be coming around." She'd sold wands to the second and third oldest of the family's children. "...Alfred, I believe it is?"
"Angela!" The elder children exclaimed, causing Alfie to turn around violently, almost in a jump. After the Lewises had reached out to hug the beloved wand-seller, the attention centered on the smallest boy, his feet shuffling on the floor, but his head looking up with bright eyes. He quickly placed his hands on his back and nodded his head quickly. "Yes ma'am" He said after his brother gave him a soft push on the arm, urging him to reply.
[ Oh, I can erase that if you'd like but I thought there were wand boxes at the front of the store as well so he may have been curious and taken one out. (box, not wand) ]
"It's nice to be finally getting your wand, I'm sure," the witch said with a knowing smile. "I was the youngest of three myself." Her words ended and she took a good moment to stare into the boy's eyes in silence.
Alfred bobbed his head up and down in excitement. "I can finally get revenge for all the pranks!" He added looking at his laughing siblings. "It is the worst!" He added, softly pushing his sister back after she had tickled his neck. "Can I get my wand now?" He asked before his brother gave him a push for him impoliteness. "Please?" He added, a forced, wide smile on his face.
Angela smiled, shaking her head. "Sit tight," she told the boy as she turned to the shelves behind her. There were no seats there, but she hadn't meant it literally. She pulled out three different boxes, to give the boy a couple different things to try: two blue and one a maroon, red sort of color. "Pick one," she said, pushing the boxes towards Alfred.
Alfred looked around, wondering if the woman meant to sit on the floor, but did nothing but look dumbfounded at his brother, who simply laughed with a shrug. He imitated his shrug as he looked back to the woman who came back with three different boxes. He walked up confidently, being sure to hide the fear of not getting his wand on the first try. "This one" Alfie took the second blue box and wondering if he had to open it before placing it back in the counter and waiting for Angela to do it. Not before his brother gave him a gentle smack on the back of his head.
Alfie took the wooden wand and looked around to his siblings to show them he would get it right. He gave the item a small wave just to have sparks flowing off the tip of the wand. As his sister tried to hide a small laugh, Alfie placed it back in the box and pushed it towards Angela, his heart clenched at the embarrassment. "Sorry" He mumbled.
[ lol just because he didn't master a wand on his first try, and the Lewises would be that kind of family :) ]
[ Ah. So by sparks you meant like... itty bitty bits of light, more of a sputter than a "shower of sparks"? (A common reaction in initial wand-wizard pairings.) ]
Angela glared at his sister. Not everyone matched with their first wand. They could be very peculiar things, wands. "Don't worry dear. I had to try six different wands myself until I found my wand." The witch handed the other blue box, lidless, to the boy. Inside was a slender, lengthy wand, dyed a darker color. A knowing smile rested easily on the wand maker's face.
[ Yep, sorry, should've clarified that. But yes, something not graceful, more like forced ;) ]Alfie stuck out his tongue at his sister as she was reprimanded by Angela. And though he didn't say anything, he gave her a smile as she shared her own story. "I'll get mine in no time" he said in a strong voice, as if reassuring his siblings, but actually reassuring himself. His eyes were drawn at the beautiful wand Angela showed him, and the moment he waved it, a graceful shower of sparks flew out, Alfie's hand making a fist and throwing his hand up in the air. "I told you!"
"Pine and Phoenix feather," the wand maker told the boy, "a very potent combination." A thick ledger was pulled out from under the counter and opened up to about a third of the way in, where Angela notated the wand she was now selling. Pine and Phoenix feather. Stiff. Twelve inches. "Let's see... five Galleons, if you'd please."
Alfie widened his eyes as she spoke. "Phoenix feather!" Jacob, the eldest and the one managing Alfred's money, took out the five Galleons and placed them on the counter. "As always, thank you" he said with a childish smile. Alfie nodded enthusiastically as he took his wand. "Aweso–thank you!" He said rapidly, receiving a hair ruffle frok his siblings.[ I suppose we end it here? ]
