“It actually makes sense to do (the novels) as a TV series,” Constantin film and TV head Martin Moszkowicz told THR. “There was so much from the book that we had to leave out of the Mortal Instruments film. In the series we'll be able to go deeper and explore this world in greater detail and depth.”hopefully thats a good thing
I can actually see the entire series being turned into a T.V. show. It would be very easy and would be able to be lengthened. However, I really can't see TMI as being a T.V. show... I don't know, it's just a weird thing for me. Also, what'll happen to the cast? I never actually liked the guy who played Jace in the movie, but now it has stuck, so like, we're being asked as a fandom to change the images of the characters in our head. Also, if it's not accurate to the series, then it'll most likely be turn off more me (I'd still give it a try, though).I would love to see TID as a T.V. show, but the problem there is if it were to be lengthened into a T.V. show, it most likely would not be very accurate to the book series because there's only 3 books and the show would end quick (in my opinion).
Idk. I still want to see The Selection Series be turned into a T.V. show. <3
I love the guy that played magnus! I will be so sad about him leaving and Simon! He was good too. Everyone else can go lol. I agree, I liked TID much more.
I don't know what to think.
That second article you put a link to was a good read and had the details very well put. Hmmm, maybe they'll find a new, better Magnus and Simon? We're just going to have to see...
But OMG, the spin-off series sounds soooo cool! =D But like, the way the article put it makes it sound like the spin-off series would also correlate to the actual episode of TMI at that week/time. In my eyes, I see TID and TMI as two different stories with the exception that the characters intertwine because of their ancestry.
Now seeing TID on-screen with The Last Hours as a spin-off series (or vice versa) would be veeerry cool imo!
We're just going to have to see how it goes...
But the thing about TV shows is that they base the pilot on the book and they take off with whatever plot they want. They take things from the books every so often but they change things a lot.

I honestly hope that the books can be made into a tv series right, I'm so afraid that it might turn out like the Delirium tv series disaster
I'm all for TMI being made into a TV show that sticks to what's written in the books. Hopefully that will happen!
