Callie blinked rapidly as she saw the table with a banquet of food. There was anything she'd ever dreamed of and more. She quickly started choosing a bit of everything, trying not to seem too desperate or too impolite. "This is awesome" she muttered under her breath, her heart clenching as she thought of her family, struggling back at home.

Callie cut her food into smaller pieces, her fork and knife picking them one by one. She tapped her feet against the floor with the rhythim of a Muggle song and marveled at the sight around her. She wondered if she had to introduce herself, or if Hogwarts would have them introduce each other..."I'm Callie" she bursted out to the boy next to him, before she had any time of stopping herself.

Callie pursed her lips before turning back to her food, her mood going from optimistic to a little disappointed as the boy, Leo, answered. Had she scared him? Did her breath smell bad? She blew air into her hand trying to figure out what was wrong but nothing came to mind. "Hufflepuff, what a curious name, don't you think?" She asked, to really no one in particular since her eyes were off in the beautiful ceiling.

Nodding her head slowly, Callie focused again on her food. She was running out of topics to talk about, and her feet were tapping faster and faster. She started humming a Muggle song while drinking, her eyes glueing again to the ceiling. Would she be able to do that? Floating candles? What exactly would she learn? She felt left behind, everyone already knowing everything there was to know about Hogwarts, and her confused and alone. "Still, I've never met anyone named Hufflepuff or something of the sort" She continued, as if her mind hadn't wandered out of the topic of conversation.

Callie hid a small gasp, and stuffed her mouth with food. Was she ashamed? Definitely. Did she have a reason? Probably not, but being a Muggle-born didn't exactly make her confident. Everyone knew what they were doing, while she was commenting on how curious was the last name of one of Hogwarts founders. She finally swallowed and nodded her head. "Yes" She said nonchalantly "Born and raised in London" She tapped her feet at the rhythm of a Muggle song, her eyesight avoiding the boy's. "You aren't, are you?"
